Because coherent argument about Brexit on TiBB goes down about as successfully as Brexit

Well, we don't eat pot noodles.
Lenor is better than Comfort.
Ice cream is a no no for me.
Persil ruins your clothes.
Decent own brand bleach is as good but far cheaper than Domestos.
We can't stand Marmite.

As long as they don't make Wotsits I will manage:joker:

Turns out this was a non story according to the Daily Politics.Unilever are constantly negotiating with Tesco and it never gets reported. It only got reported because the media could put a brexit angle on it.They said the same to Irish supermarkets too and they're not even leaving the EU:laugh:

They would say the same to them as the cost of importing goods and supplying to them would increase too, regardless of them being in or out...

This entire brouhaha has nothing to do with Brexit and never has had, We are not even OUT of the EU yet. Worse Luck.

Expect plenty of greedy capitalising by companies who WILL hike up the cost of their goods and services and blame Brexit once we are out though.

Crimson Dynamo 20-10-2016 08:12 AM

All we have had is a vote to leave

People are whining "oh what good has come of this brexit?"

er

we are still very much in the EU

As Kirk says all we have at the moment is fat cats trying to stay fat cats

I agree in principle, but the pound has lost its value against other currencies so that does have an effect now. Companies will try and use that as an excuse to hike prices, they always do, some rises will be genuine too. The other side of course is that we are able to sell to other countries more cheaply now than before, so our exports should go up. It will all sort of balance out really.
