There's some aspects to the iPhone that annoy me but I love mine (that's why I picked it in a poll because it's what I'd get) and if you're looking for one that has a simple UI, easy to use and looks good then get an iPhone. The only problem is that they're a bit pricey.

Android is good if you want to have full control over system storage (you can expand it etc.) and ones like the pixel and s7 (if that's an option for you) are quite good- however in my experience they're quite hard to get used to if you're used to the iOS on the iPhone.

Honestly I can't really be arsed anymore with the taking sides things and I'm not gonna lie, if I didn't have the connectivity to my Mac and if I didn't have my watch then I'd be wanting to have an android for once but it's really good with the Mac and the watch is a paperweight without an iPhone :joker:

Just choose what you think would make you happy and take some advice into consideration but the 'iPhones are crap!!!!! Don't use iPhones!!!' Posts And vice versa aren't things to look at/take seriously

tbh all I really want from a phone is a decent camera and to be able to make calls, text, check emails and maybe pop on here for a bit with it

I love the camera on my iPhone, it's amazing and I'm assuming the S6 has the same sort of quality but I was playing with my friends S7 and what I like about that is how many camera features it has- but it was also quite confusing (as I've been with my iPhone for so long) to use. The calls, texts, and email thing makes it sound like you want quite a simple phone so if i was you, I'd look into getting an iPhone 6 or an iPhone SE (all the features of the 6 in the size of an iPhone 5 and much cheaper, it's quite cute and smart) due to its basic and easy UI and it being what you're used to. I'd avoid getting an iPhone5/5s because due to them being quite old now and Apple giving it updates it'd be quite sluggish and slow.

Actually the 5S might be alright, I'm thinking the 5 would be slowly being killed off by Apple and that's why it's not in the list.

Also consider the one plus 3 as its cheap and punches well above its weight

Stick to the list guys :nono:

Crimson Dynamo 07-12-2016 11:38 AM

Great performance
Display
Camera
Battery life
Build quality

that is the 5 things to consider

you can get a one plus 3 that ticks all those boxes:

£32-per-month contract, with no upfront charge. 3GB of data per month and unlimited minutes and texts.

T* 07-12-2016 11:39 AM

Niamh if it came down to it would you be willing to pay for the SE? I really think that's the right choice for you

Crimson Dynamo 07-12-2016 11:41 AM

Of your limited list that you provided

The excellent Samsung A5 ticks all the boxes and you should be able to get about 3gb with unlimited texts and minutes and no cost for £25 no bother

I need to stick to the list because my phone is a company phone

Apparently the iPhone SE cam is as good as the iPhone 6 Plus camera (which is very very very good) so it's something to keep in mind

Isn't the S6 better though?

What are you on about?
You can back up your old phone onto your new one easily and back up all your pictures onto it too using iCloud or your computer? Where did you get that information or are you just making it up??

It's sort of worth it - but in that case I think you should lean towards the S6
