Cold water. Even if I'm brushing them in the shower I still reach for the cold tap.

Hot water is generally less clean, that's why you never use it as drinking water from the tap, so I wouldn't use it for brushing.

Because it usually comes from a storage tank in the loft and is not as fresh or as safe as water directly from the mains.

Cold water. When the toothpaste is warm and the bristles are soft it makes me feel sick, which is weird because I usually like warm and thick liquid in my mouth

Cold...honestly never occurred to me to even consider using warm, sounds gross :laugh:
