I know right :/

some people are just in a desperate need to always be offended, nothing James said was remotely homophobic, anyone finding homophobia in those comments are trying to hard to look like some kind of protector of justice.

I don't particularly like James, in fact I'd struggle to like any of them this year but it's quite clear what James meant, Austin only goes after what he percieves to be soft touches, he doesn't go after a big gun, he's made an enemy of someone who's more than capable of not only matching him but besting him too and he just can't handle it, hence the soft boys comment.

Homophobic, honestly, some people are just so utterly ridiculous.

My initial thought too, although im not insulted by either.

Oh joy, seems the sun is running with this now. And a bunch of people are posting it without even knowing the context and shouting for James' removal, just because they fancy Austin

Not really homophobic. But I still hate him get him out.

plus 99% of the time Austin targets only females, he doesn't have the guts to square up to the likes of James Jordan.
Austin is such a pussy

I'm not one for "URGH PC CROWD URGH URGH URGH" because it's just for racists wanting to be racist. But this is generally a bit ridiculous

'His comments sparked fury among some viewers who branded him “homophobic” while others called for him to be removed.'

Some people are fecking idiots.
So attempted anal finger rape is fine but saying 'soft boy' deserves ejection :facepalm:x1000

Blokes are always calling each other 'soft lad' 'soft bastard' 'soft boy' etc etc no matter their sexuality.

Yeah I would associate "soft" as being over sensitive or emotional, nothing at all to do with sexuality

I can't stand James Jordan and usually grab any opportunity to bash him, but even I'm not desperate enough to consider calling someone 'soft' is a homophobic slur.

vesavius 12-01-2017 01:26 PM

You're a homophobe! You're a homophobe! Everyone's a homophobe!

FGS, the overuse of extreme words like this and racist and bully and whatever else only serves to cheapen them and reduce their meaning. People need to stop barking at shadows.

Austin's comment about James being a dancer (and thus "soft") is just as bad if not worse so I don't really understand why James is being painted as public enemy but that's just my opinion.

Ithinkiloveyoutoo 12-01-2017 07:18 PM

And yet he's 3rd fave to win. Stacey said gay boy and **** hit the fan
