Doesn't apply in any way to the post you just quoted LT. You need to click "back" and then select another one of your stock phrases.

I'm going to explain how time works since you seem a little bit confused.

You see, the referendum happened in what is now called the past, that means it's already happened. This stuff about a deal with the US and how it's kind of hypocritical for Brexit voters to want us to be Trump's bitches yet oppose us being in the EU because they don't want us to be the EU's bitches is happening in what's known as the present.

Your comment suggested that I was making predictions for something that hasn't happened yet, that's called the future.

Taking a fact from the past and present to make a statement doesn't really make it a prediction for the future but that's okay, I'm sure some other people struggle with the concept of time too

To be fair to you though, it's actually mainly been other Trumpettes using it more than you. But I assume the stock phrase generator is shared or something. It's the only explanation I can think of.

Pretty much, it highlights the fact that Brexit wasn't so much about escaping EU's 'Tyranny' as Leave voters would have us belief

just you thinking you know exactly why people voted as per

:idc:

and by the way, you got the ref and the usa elections totally wrong didnt you?:joker:

Exactly, is that what you think the majority of Brits really wanted to know about?

That was an opinion based on logic, I didn't think I needed to write 'in my opinion' on everything since I thought it was obvious and you could tell the difference between stating an opinion and stating a fact but I guess I overestimated you but don't worry, I'll be sure to try to explain things in greater detail in the future so you can understand and follow the topic like everyone else :)

As for your last line it doesn't make much sense. I was obviously talking about Leave Voters in the Referendum being happy enough to depend on the US when they opposed the EU for similar reasons.

Did you think I was talking about the election and tried to pull me up on it to score points? Oh dear...

It's called deductive reasoning LT. If someone claims that they supported Brexit because they are concerned for Britain's autonomy, but then are happy to lose some of that autonomy elsewhere, then we can more confidently assume that their reasons were in fact... Other.

Sometimes also called top-down logic. It doesn't involve crystal balls or, in fact, any other form of mysticism.

You could look it up or something. If interested. I doubt you are.

Livia 27-01-2017 05:50 PM

A strong relationship with the USA is vital for us. The fact that it's Trump we have to deal with right now is unfortunate.

I wonder if we need a new thread on whether the loony left understands tact and diplomacy.
