If it was just illegals and suspected extremists then nobody could complain. If it was just vetting people from the countries identified as having extremists then nobody could complain. However that doesn't seem to be what's happening here from the looks of it.

Jihadist groups on Sunday celebrated the Trump administration’s ban on travel from seven Muslim-majority countries, saying the new policy validates their claim that the United States is at war with Islam.
Comments posted to pro-Islamic State social media accounts predicted that President Trump’s executive order would persuade American Muslims to side with the extremists. One posting hailed the U.S. president as “the best caller to Islam,” while others predicted that Trump would soon launch a new war in the Middle East
.

The unintended consequences of bad decisions.

Quite blatantly his multi-decade drive for Brexit had absolutely nothing to do with trade laws et al. and everything to do with him wanting the borders closed to any "other" who might dare to darken the doors of his quaint whitey-white English football hooligan pubs.

If that were at all true then why aren't you pissed off that a specific religion is being targeted? or angry that legal permanent residents of that country are being detained in violation of their Constitution and pissed off that legal permanent residents of that country are being threatened with deportation even though they have broken no laws?

I never thought I'd be standing on the same side as my right wing colleagues over a political matter. People who are galaxies apart from each other in political ideology that are all on the same side of this issue... if you find yourself on the other side of that issue....You haven't being paying attention or Something is seriously fcuking wrong.

Why is it it so hard for some to comprehend that women in particular have every reason to have issues with religions that treat women like ****e? What has that got to do with race - it has far more to do with culture and mindsets. If they don't give respect why should they get it back? All the over-the-top hysterics and double standards is truly tedious.

Acting Attorney General Orders Justice Dept. Not to Defend Refugee Ban update... Trump fires Yates

WASHINGTON — Acting Attorney General Sally Q. Yates, a holdover from the Obama administration, ordered the Justice Department on Monday not to defend President Trump’s executive order on immigration in court

Trump has not banned all Muslims. He has picked specific Countries out of the largely Muslim World and ignored several Countries where Trump entities have established business relationships. Therefore if the jihadists wish to recruit, the ban is extremely easy to bypass.

Don't take my word for it:

Those countries weren't actually targeted by Trump. It was actually Obama that flagged those countries as being a terror risk.
I do think Trump has gone too far though.I'm all for vetting people from risk countries but the ban has just caused chaos and if people have a green card then by definition they've already been vetted.

user104658 31-01-2017 10:09 AM

It has absolutely jack **** to do with terrorism. I'm not going to pretend to be "in the know" about the actual reasoning and nor do I think it's just "cos dey all r racists", there's clearly much more to it than that, but what I *do* know is that it will have absolutely zero impact on the risk of a major terrorist incident. It's like performing brain surgery with a ****ing sledgehammer. The plotting, scheming and organisation that goes into a major incident is not going to be interrupted by "closing the borders and airports". Not even slightly.

Yes it was and the question is, why wasn't SA on that list?

Like you, I'm all for vetting but this sort of restriction is going to have a huge impact on the workforce that come in and out of America on business visas.

And to send refugees back is to sign their death warrant.

Yeah Trump should stick to cracking down on illegal immigration. The US should be taking refugees from the refugee camps who can be vetted first just like Britain. That be a positive move that more people could get behind. His supporters and detractors could agree on that.

I agree you need to come usa LEGALLY, i don't get the issue with this. People want this, if they didn't they wouldn't of voted for him as president. We want America safe and not be flooding our borders with immigrants taking our jobs.
