People did vote for Brexit/Trump - people have no regrets - people will respect a public vote!!!

The majority have no regrets. Some simply don't have the courage of their convictions.

The economy is doing considerably better than predicted by the scare-mongers, so any regrets are misplaced. And who cares about a minority that would vote for someone because they thought they would lose - that's assuming they weren't just winding people up.

And if anyone actually has any regrets - tough, if you vote in a public vote without conviction you live with any perceived consequences.

You Won't get your second referendum if you truly believe in democracy.

No, the question was essentially "why are people bothered about signing a Trump petition but not up in arms about an obscure Muslim leader?"

The answer is profile and visibility. There's not really any further debate required.
