They soon went public with it as well, shame.

Entirely this...

How awful. I hope the boys are okay and their Dad makes a good recovery.

Suze 04-02-2017 12:12 PM

How awful for them :(

And how awful for you Jaxie, so sad that you had to go through that pain :(

Beso 04-02-2017 12:36 PM

Big hugs jaxie, that must have been really tough for you x

Kazanne 04-02-2017 12:49 PM

That's so awful for you Jaxie  and poor Jedward coming out to such sad news.

Ant. 04-02-2017 12:57 PM

Why didn't BB tell them? I mean, even Angie was told about David's death in CBB17. Also, didn't a similar situation happen in BB15 when Toya came out the house to find out her dad died?

I hope they're doing okay, and I hope their dad makes a recovery. :worry:

jaxie 04-02-2017 12:57 PM

Thanks for all the kind words. It was a long time ago now but this just struck a chord with me. It's difficult when that happens and you or they are away from home. I wish Jedward and their dad all the best.

I read in a report this morning that Jedward's dad didn't want them to know as he didn't want to disappoint all the people watching the show. I don't want to bore everyone with countless details but I was also on holiday somewhere else when this happened to my dad and he didn't want me told at first because he didn't want to spoil my holiday. So I wasn't told at first and then he died. Sometimes the best intentions don't turn out. Not wanting to heavy everyone, just trying to point out that sometimes these things happen and it's not always about people not caring or caring more about a show and so on.

From what I read he is in intensive care, and didn't want the boys told, it would be his call not anyone's else's

That being the case and all things correctly considered, what kind of woman withholds such information just so her kids can win a game show. When I say kids, I mean cash cows.

This is totally disgusting. Think what would have happened if he had have passed away and they never got a chance to visit him and say their goodbyes. I simply cannot forgive this woman if indeed this is true. If it isnt i will apologise, but based on reports coming out, all they are saying is that he is in intensive care and the decision to withhold that info from the boys was taken by a close family member.

Latest reports show both parents were in on the decision but Im not buying how anyone on life support to be that compos mentos to make such decisions. Anyway its pretty bad whichever way it comes out. Him being a martyr is one thing, her agreeing is yet another.

A bit like this entire post. And it takes a special kind of sanctimonious egomaniac to think they're in a position to offer or deny forgiveness in a situation that doesn't involve them in any form whatsoever.

Ah, I was just wondering because people kept saying it was their mum's fault? Jedward can be there for him now though, but poor boys hearing such news after being without him for so long

I was wondering at that also, but blame shouldn't be put at their Mum's door or their Dad's by anyone saying that, it's an awful thing to be said really. Thoughts should be on how John and Edward and their family are feeling at this time not passing blame.

Gusto Brunt 04-02-2017 01:48 PM

Tragic news. But at least he is still fighting. The dad looks young. Mid 50s??

What a horrible nasty self centred thing to say

My own father died in slightly unusual circumstances, he had a flight related stroke after arriving on holiday and died abroad. He was disabled and diabetic but had been given good health checks to have the holiday. I never got to see him and by the time his remains came home was advised not to see him like that too. So basically my dad went off on his holidays to Portugal and a coffin came back. I know he's gone but I've never really had closure and you are left with a vague surreal feeling that it's not real. I don't wish that on them it's not easy to come to terms with.

For those criticising their mother. It's a difficult situation and we should all walk a mile in someone else's shoes before criticism on something like this. Also for all we know he could have been taken ill during last night's show and the news didn't arrive until they were told. Let's rise above and try not to go there, and hope for them it all turns out better than it did for me.

so sorry to hear that about your dad Jaxie

Ermmmm just to set the record straight in reguards to 'blaming' their mum my post wasn't to lay blame at anyones feet. In situations like this though I am pretty confident Jedward will have given producers the name of a relative/friend who BB contact in or vica versa as to wetger inform housemates of illness outside the house.

Absolutely right.

Alisch 04-02-2017 03:36 PM

There are situations where whatever the "facts" are, the polite and emphatic way is to keep the thoughts to yourself. Putting more sh*** on a person who is in distress is just...inhuman. At least wait until the situation is resolved. And you can never ever know what position is another person making decisions from. No one is omniscient for squirrel's sake.

Tregard 04-02-2017 03:56 PM

Baffling that Rylan was allowed out on several occasions for rehearsals but Jedward weren't even informed of this

We don't know when he was hospitalised though, and the producers would have to honour family wishes, if the Dad said he didn't want them informed, they couldn't go against that, we don't know the background here at all, all we have is a tabloid story, I mean it went from life support to intensive care which are vastly different things
