"This budget was utter complacency about the reality of daily people. This morning over a million workers will wake up not knowing if they will have a job. Millions struggling to pay rent or mortgage. Over 3k people qued up for food banks. 4K people are homeless. The conservatives are out of touch. Not working for the NHS. Not working for our children's schools. Not working for our neighbourhoods. Not working for our dedicated public services and the people working in them, no pay rise for them! People in disability are living in povert. 4 million children living in poverty. People can't get on housing ladder. Student debt too high. A million elderly people are denied social care due to cuts over past 5 years." - Jeremy Corbyn

"The pain of losing a child is horrible. And now people cannot pay for their children's funeral. This is utterly heartless!" - Jezza C

Maybe he is confused wearing his purple tie. UKIP is his prefffered home?

smudgie 08-03-2017 12:42 PM

I am finding him very shouty of late.
Maybe he thinks it makes him sound more assertive:shrug:

Wizard. 08-03-2017 12:45 PM

Labour do not want poor people to do well. They need poverty to survive. They want to bring the rich to be poor not the poor to be rich because without the working class they have nobody voting for them.

Wizard. 08-03-2017 12:47 PM

Shame on him bringing rape into the budget. Just looking for sympathy.

Wizard. 08-03-2017 12:51 PM

"Our economy is not ready for breakfast.. Brexit!" Reminds me of Eds "of course I'm tuss enough!"

Cherie 08-03-2017 12:54 PM

Not a good budget for the self employed, he wants to bring their NI taxes in line with those employed on contracts, maybe he should be paying holiday pay, sick pay and pension contributions for the self employed as well then given they don't have any of the benefits of those on a contract

Denver 08-03-2017 12:58 PM

They can **** off for rejecting a £10 hour minimum wage

Cherie 08-03-2017 01:00 PM

The NI increas is a broken manifesto promise from 2015 as well ..:idc:

The way he argued his point was disgusting as well, he said that an employee earning 32,000 pays 6,100 while the self employed paid 2,000 in NI, most of the 6,100 is paid by the employer, so the actual difference in NI paid is about 800 which for self employed is ploughed into growing a pension or put in a rainy day fund to cover sickness or holidays

£32000 After Tax 2017
£Taxable Income
£21,000.00
National Insurance
£2,872.82

It looks like the self employed are the new target and the Tory's are setting divisions between employees and self employed, I heard comments yesterday by employees telling self employed people to go and get a job :joker:

DemolitionRed 09-03-2017 09:46 AM

What this budget has just done to small traders is disgusting. These are the people that struggle to survive when they are ill, pregnant or in need of a holiday and have an almighty squeeze if god forbid, they must go on benefits. What happened to Osbornes pledge in 2015?

Personal borrowing is reaching record levels, salaries have stagnated whilst inflation carries on creeping up. All we need now is for interest rates to rise… won’t be long. This budget was lukewarm at best. All its done is appease the masses by offering crumbs to troubles of their own making (Tories), whilst doing nothing to keep the wolf from the door and all the while the war on the elderly and disabled continues and austerity marches on.

Kizzy 09-03-2017 12:54 PM

telegraph and mail not happy, hopefully mr bish bash dosh will bypass UKIP and come straight back to labour?

Sure Riley
but [B]Worse 20 or more Conservative MP's
against The Rise on any National Insurance,
so it would not get enough votes etc.

If there is a snap election this would have lost them a lot of votes

Yes fully agreed on Todays PMQ's

Leaving the Labour Leader
stumped on what more he could ask.
Ref: DP Live BBC2HD and SkyNewsHD PMQ's

SkyNewsHD has improved PMQ's now
giving more data on each MP that asks a question (more than BBC2HD)
and they leave it on in full
A right hand side bar displays how much each MP won in their zone
and what is on Twitter from their 2 Political reporters.

So BBC2HD and SkyNewsHD on weds PMQ's
are both Good, now

jaxie 15-03-2017 04:13 PM

Good news that they have the courage to change their mind.
