I don't get people on twitter complaining that it's too early for this. You're assuming that it'll last 20 seasons like US and UK but it probably, most definitely won't.

It's not too early at all, but they should've just gone all out and done a full All Stars because they already have the names. There's no guarantee we'll get there now

But tbf they wont have the types of budgets the US/UK can get so maybe it was down to financial reasons

Yes the internationals would have wanted a lot more and there has not been enough Canadian series for all stars
