I do think it kinda puts TIBB behind the times not having a Like button.
But if it doesn't work it doesn't work

Not being rude but what's the point of a suggestions section if the suggestions just get ignored. A like button would be cute!

I have found that the new like informative laugh and love thing on DS to be quite good

of course it was much better when the dislike one was active (spineless cowards took it away)

so I think it would be good to have on here at least as a trial

I'd say no, although there are some times that my nasty side wants a dislike button :joker:

No need for one really, people would end up just liking posts instead of posting their opinion

I would have thought that the only posts it would replace are the '.' ;clap; 'this' posts, rather than the posts where people actually give an opinion, as they're the posts that the like button would be used in place of. I think most people come onto a forum like this in the first place because they want to give their opinions on things so I'd be surprised if people suddenly decided they didn't want to because of a like button. I'm not on any other forums though so I don't know how much of a difference it makes?
Could it not be implemented as a trial and if forum usage went down it could just be removed?

Good point actually. Thumbs up icons have a habit of turning me into a nasty spiteful bullying mare.

I would prefer people actually take the time to add to a discussion rather than just hit a button, that is the whole point of a forum.

And yes some members do enter threads and just post 'this' or '2' etc but even at a push that's still preferable to just clicking a button and leaving the thread again.
