We're probably not going to find out where the money saved from paying the EU will until we actually have it. We won't have it for at least 2 years.

It's not a scare story, already tried it in the budget, May has refused to answer the question 3 times today during a visit to Derby but Corbyn has also refused to rule out tax hikes saying he will make the system fairer...for whom I wonder, no doubt or will be the middle who will suffer again :idc:

Surely they can foresee 2 years ahead, like they can for a 5 year term in office Jaxie, it's probably more likely they have no idea how long we will be paying off the bill to leave!

It is, the poor are helped the rich are helped, the people on middles incomes are constantly screwed, the Torys did well last time as they appealed to the squeezed middle and promised hardworking people would be helped, May continued that rhetoric with her JAMs analogy, we saw at the last budget the utter contempt they had for the self employed more or less implying they were stealing from people on paye by not paying the same amount of NI, what they failed to emphasis was the top up that every employer makes, so the sums looked vastly different when in effect the self employed pay about 800 less over the year but with no paid holiday or sick this is meant to be "rainy day" money and makes the system fair. I hope the Torys don't win by the landslide expected and that they are tempered in Parliament by a decent amount of MPs from other parties, and not just the SNP as they couldn't give a rats ass about anyone else only themselves.

I think the Tory's have to win as I can't see anyone else being able to handle Brexit. let's face it Labour is a total mess and a coalition with the SNP would be the SNP totally self serving.

But you are right, as a self employed person in the middle myself I can't argue that we are often the people who get screwed.

IF she raises VAT that alone could swing the election...VAT is an enormous issue that is destroying the entire economy and hitting the WORKING working classes the most
