I was pointing out the point Kaz made "they don't fear the police" as if that's a bad thing and people should fear the police

Maybe fear was the wrong word to use Lewis111,should have said respected,kids just don't respect the police and know they can get away with things they wouldn't have got away with a few years back,their job is hard at the best of times .

I think a good upbringing that instills the right values rather than an upbringing that just teaches that shouting one's rights and entitlements at everyone is much more productive for everyone.

You are right about a good upbringing for the most part although I don't even know if it's bad upbringing, or just that some kids are indulged and spoiled to a point that they think they are in the right all the time.

Yes I agree with this more, respect is needed on both sides
Young people need to understand the amount of work police do to keep them safe

the police overreacted but the kids looked like a nuisance anyway so i don't really feel bad for them
