If Hillary Benn was leader, I'd maybe vote labour. I just don't trust the people they have in the shadow cabinet. I don't trust May and her cabinet either, but she's more middle ground, than partisan on one side.

Indeed.
Nothing more I could add to that really.

Quite a difference in circumstances.

Well said

Let's not forget that Corbyn's past dealings are not isolated incidents but very frequent ones throughout his career. Here's the latest that Guido Fawkes have exposed today: https://order-order.com/2017/06/06/c...bers-at-rally/

Quote:

Jeremy Corbyn addressed a rally including hundreds of members of the banned extremist group Al-Muhajiroun, Guido can reveal. In May 2002 Corbyn gave a speech at a highly controversial anti-Israel demo at Trafalgar Square, attended by former terrorists and supporters of Hezbollah. A contemporaneous report by the communist Weekly Worker newspaper says up to 300 members of Al-Muhajiroun were present. The newspaper reported that some were dressed as mock suicide bombers and others chanted “gas, gas Tel Aviv”. This is from the extraordinary Weekly Worker* report:

“Al Muhajiroun held placards reading ‘Palestine is Muslim’. They chanted, “Skud, Skud Israel” and “Gas, gas Tel Aviv”, along with their support for bin Laden. Two would-be suicide posers were dressed in combat fatigues with a ‘bomb’ strapped to their waists. This section accounted for no more than 200-300, but they made a noise far out of proportion to their numbers… The rally was also addressed by Labour MPs Jeremy Corbyn and George Galloway.”

Al-Muhajiroun is a proscribed terrorist organisation which was led by the infamous radical Islamists Omar Bakri Muhammad and the jailed Anjem Choudary. Several of its members have committed terrorist attacks and the group has been linked to the 7/7 bombings, the murder of Lee Rigby as well as dozens of other attacks and plots. London Bridge attacker Khuram Butt was a supporter of Al-Muhajiroun. What was Corbyn doing anywhere near them, let alone addressing an audience which included 300 of their members?

*The Weekly Worker is pro-Corbyn so this cannot be a “smear from the Tory press”.
This is the sort of company he has kept over the last 30 years

Not that many. The Conservatives have a huge lead amongst Jews. This was the front page of the biggest UK Jewish newspaper a few days ago

Could this have anything to do with Palestine?

MTVN 06-06-2017 08:30 PM

Yes I'm sure it has much to do with Palestine and the Islamists that many on the far left side with in that conflict

Shaun 06-06-2017 08:31 PM

She needs replacing, to be honest.

Diane Abbot was dreadful on sky news she clearly had no idea what she was talking about while claiming to have read the report. The thought of her as home secretary or any other prominent role is really worrying. Why do they keep sending her to do interviews? It's embarrassing.

I'd be very tempted by Labour if Hilary Benn were leader.

Well, she has not stood down permanently, she could recover from her illness on Friday and take up her position. Who is her replacement, what are her views, so many questions. Its a very strange set of circumstances to occur on the final day of polling.

Of course, i do wish Dianne a speedy recovery, I don't think she is the right person for the job, but I wouldn't wish any illness on her either.

I honestly think this 'replaced due to ill health' thing is absolute bollocks. Its a nice way of saying she has been sacked from that position.

Here is an article about Lyn Brown - the politician who is taking over the role. She has an impressive CV having held several top jobs during the past 10 years.

Yeah true,Lets just hope he has more sense than to put her in any position of responsibility.Although they've been good pals for years apparently.

And obvs I wouldn't wish abbott any ill health just don't want her in government.

Welcome back btw. You've been missed around these parts

I think it's either stress or damage limitation from Jezzas advisors

That's a bit unfair. Anti-Zionist Jews and and anti-Zionist people just don't side with the Zionists (Jewish or not). You don't have to be far left to disagree with what Israel is doing to Palestine.

Much like labours Brexit secretary Sir Keir Starmer then? The guy everyone forgets about when May starts bleating on about how its her or Corbyn to be doing the negotiations. Its Keirs job, not Corbyns.
