I think a lot of it is because he was on here. I'm not saying that's the pure reason, but he isn't the type of housemate that's usually liked on here so I think him being from the forum allowed people to give him more of a chance instead of instantly and stubbornly taking a dislike to him, as they usually would.

exactly this i agree with, i really like seeing one of my friends in the BB house :D

I think he's a breath of fresh air in that house. Not obsessed with sex and hardly ever swears... maybe that's why he gets labelled "shifty" because he isn't the norm?

I agree. I really think he would be pretty unpopular here if he wasn't a member.

Yes. We're just not used in seeing normal people as housemates anymore.

His nervous laugh and non-Britishness leave many feeling unrelatable to him.

I am sure he is a nice guy but he is hardly Brian Dowling or Cameron Stout.

Are you really ****ing bigging up Cameron Stout of all people.

fitz2k2 29-06-2017 11:24 AM

He's close to Chanelle because she actually bothered to get to know him. Tom slagged him off to the others at the beginning because of his VT. Causing him to feel isolated at times..

Excellent points,well said.

I like him, he's perfectly fine. However, he's probably the weakest Exile for me from an entertainment standpoint. Like I feel he's a bit overpraised when he's easily top 5, but not top 2 worthy.

In a house full of show offs he's the most normal and I love that.

Normal?

waving his hands around, laughing in a shifty way, fake smiles and saying one thing doing another. He is the LEAST normal one in there

He's also genuine Vanessa.
I agree with you he doesn't need to show off,his qualities are what endear people to him.

Yes, he's being himself and I like that. Can't wait for him to meet Sue. She loves him :D

Crimson Dynamo 29-06-2017 02:11 PM

Simone will hate him

she will shake up his shifty ways

If this is truly himself, I would imagine that his RL friends have to watch themselves around him. He is inherently untrustworthy.

I mean, we have seen him deliberately set up his 'friends' in there with and slink off when the fight starts.

Not someone I would trust as a friend. he has no qualities that I would look for in a friend, tbf. Even Chan just used him when the cool kids weren't interested. She is all over Isobelle now she has an option.

He has openly admitted to being wary of people, so his behaviour is probably due to anxiety.

This! But he's opening up more now. He has made friends and he's having fun.

Raph would not be popular if he wasn't a member on here, i judge people on what they are like in the house, not for a vote in most loved ,everyone should have judged him in the same way ,but they haven't

You can honestly say that if one of your friends went in the house, you wouldn't be supporting them regardless?

I do agree that most of his support stems from him being a member and have conceded on several occasions myself that I've only given him a pass because of it (although recently he's gone up in my estimations on his own terms), but it's completely understandable that his friends would support him. He isn't my favourite, but I do get why those who are closer to him will support him regardless.

I didnt know raph untill the cast release - still would want him to win
