I kind of want a series that is a hybrid of the two formats because there's elements of the US format that stirs up drama without the need of interference from producers. I also find the plotting/scheming element interesting and it would make the show more exciting. BUT I don't think they should ever get rid of the public vote.

Imo they should do this.
Allow them to talk about nominations.
Have a HOH competition every week like the US. The winner gives a killer nomination and lives in a luxury suite for a week with other housemates of their choice.
Later in the week all housemates nominate in the diary room as normal. The three or more with the most noms also go up for eviction.
Then have a POV competition like in the US and the HOH chooses the replacement.
All of the nominees face a public vote to save. The housemates decide who is evicted out of the bottom two.

Idk if what I just wrote makes any sense but I think they should try something like it.

I think they should have this format:

A HoH comp, winner gets immunity for the week and 1 killer nomination.
Normal nominations to decide who else faces the public vote.
POV comp for one person to try and save and replace themselves, not someone else.
Public vote to save their fave, person with least votes is gone.
Weekly shopping task as usual to earn the weekly budget (but proper C4 style, not what we get now)
And repeat!

The HoH comp could happen Saturdays / on Sundays show
Nominations on Sundays / Mondays show
PoV on Mondays / Tuesdays show - vote opens Tuesday
Shopping task happens Tues - We/Thu is shown on Wednesday - Thu/Friday

Both BBUS 4 and 9 aired on E4, but they were terrible seasons so no wonder they did badly

Talking of shopping tasks, if they can't implement the whole format I'd definitely like to see us adopt Haves/Have Nots and Slop. The producers are always trying to manufacture drama these days and it'd be such a simple way to have it occur organically. Split the house into two or three groups, run a task as normal, the winners are Haves and get a luxury budget, the rest are Have Nots and live off Slop and sleep in an uncomfortable room.
