All of this is utter nonsense Truth! Men's sperm DOESN'T "worsen quicker" - men and women both peak i terms of reproduction in their 20's, after which point, women become infertile before men do, and risk factors for infants increase faster on the female side too. The article just points out that sperm is not "ageless". And none of this has ANYTHING to do with healthcare, just basic biology.

Also the main reason that men on average die younger than women, is that as an entire society we are overweight, and men are biologically more prone to storing that fat on and around the organs than women who store it on the body, as women have naturally higher body fat percentage. But you know... don't let biological fact get in the way of your political agenda, I suppose.

You're jumping at shadows.

Women mature faster than men, you sound like the world owes you something
It don't.

So joining the same dots would mean that women only become infertile for the same reason? Women become infertile much younger than men actually.

I mean, its nothing to do with biology or anything. Everything to do with cash spent.

society owes men , mens health especially more from the public money pot thats for sure but brainwashed feminists refuse to see the absolutely enormous funding gap and support structure for men versus women

Of course I do. Because I'm the one bleating about there not being enough sperm care on the NHS for the elderly gentleman.

Vicky. 06-07-2017 01:12 PM

I actually think its rather selfish wanting to have children that late in life. Like, at 60 or 70 years old, chances are you will die while your kid is still quite young. Of course if you have kids when younger you might well die while they are young, but there is a huge increase in chance when doing it late :/

but that men are "fine to wait until whenever". Obviously everyone knows that some older gents find it a bit more difficult to get going, but many assume that the sperm itself is just as good at 60 as at 20.

No, women do have a biological clock, it's the desire to have children. It's widely accepted and proven that the risks associated with pregnancy increase with age, I have never understood however why this isn't as readily accepted that the male reproductive system wouldn't suffer too :/

I don't think he was saying the biological clock didn't exist for a woman, I think he meant it's a misconception that it only applies to women.

This thread is getting really bizarre :joker:

You would say that, wouldn't you. Your balls aren't yet full of stale male sperm that the NHS refuses to fund for. :nono:

Well I think the point was that not enough money is spent on men and this is why sperm quality decreases and then men die.

Quite how women becoming infertile WAY before men even start having a decrease comes into this I do not know. But men should have more research done on how to keep sperm energetic well into their 90s. Of course.

Or something

Rargh women.

Yes I see that now, I didn't think it was just a female thing though, I'm sure men are equally as concerned about the best time to have children and the added pressures of being an older dad.

Oh I'm sure they do. But not many think of the biological changes (in comparison to say a woman going through the menopause).

No my balls are full of virile, strong young sperms who cannot escape, they just live in there, forever, and when I die and my scrotum begins to decay, all of those decades worth of trapped sperms will escape into the atmosphere and the entire female population will become impregnated with little Toy Soldiers!

It's the perfect crime.

Vicky. 06-07-2017 02:20 PM

I hate the word scrotum. Almost as bad as moist.

I have no idea why anyone would want to have a baby later in life! I mean, I have a 4 year old with autism and a 7 year old with... err... a boatload of ****ing attitude tbh... and that presents its own challenges.

But the idea of having a newborn again? It genuinely makes me break out in a cold sweat just thinking about it :joker:.

At 50+ I'm pretty sure it would legitimately just kill me :umm2:.

Marsh. 06-07-2017 02:24 PM

I just remembered Victoria Wood...

"Are you not pregnant?"
"Not unless sperm can get through a sash window."
