Neither Chanelle nor Hannah have listening skills. Neither, therefore are particularly intelligent. Neither want to hear the truth so it's a tactic to shut out what is being said. They may learn a little more if they listened. Hard for egotists though...

But of course nothing has been 'won' by them. They've just simply given up talking. Some kids in the playground might think that drowning out your opponent with loud tormenting songs or running away from them constitutes as 'winning the argument' but in the adult world well... that doesn't quite cut the mustard. Imagine doing it in court! Or on the phone to your insurance company. Or during a debate on 'Question Time'. I'd say whoever ended up singing it in an adult situation would be the one looking like a dick, not their opponent. |
