Not Withano realising that the older woman is not under represented online. :joker::joker::joker::joker:

Withano 28-07-2017 01:42 PM

Question clearly asks who they would typically vote for, and its a multiple choice selection for those who believe that they do not all vote in the same way.

Completely absurd, I've never used the phrase 'cat lady' to describe the older woman vote.

Do the gays get insulted at the same time?

Had the question simply been Who do you think older women will vote for? That would be fine.

Not who do you think older women will vote for because they can't use computers and they've crap taste OP.

See the difference?

But I don't see the older generation typically casting their bbspy Pop poll vote. That's what Withano means.

Actually, i think BB is more geared to the younger target audience these days. Not many people outwith that demographic will have bothered to watch or vote for the cast this year.

Ant. 28-07-2017 01:49 PM

Obviously demographics aren't a hive mind and don't vote for one person, but I've seen more of the older generation prefer Tom

There's a big difference between saying they get underrepresented and that they can't use computers? I think it's pretty obvious tellymix and bbspy polls are voted by mostly younger people? You are blowing it out of proportion imo

I remember a few on here getting arsey when I said something like "It's the school holidays" insinuating there were kids on here, they didn't like it, so why should we,besides nothing said about middle aged men !!!

I don't think there's anything wrong with talking about demographics, I can't see any negative remarks from Withano regarding older women. I can't really see anything wrong with the thread. The only insults towards other members I've had to deal with in this thread are from people who have insulted the OP.

Now IF I answer "more like 10",they would be offended,so why do they think it's ok to do it to older people.

Underscore 28-07-2017 01:56 PM

I mean you've just got to look at the demographics, it's fact.

Older people way more likely to vote conservative than younger people who mainly (rightly or wrongly) vote Labour

Older people way more likely to be socially conservative than younger people who mainly are socially liberal.

It's just generational gaps, and they use that in politics to predict how people are going to vote. If you apply the social conservatism figure to this, you'd end up with Deborah seen as she's the more held back one.

I think its trying to be. I did see a post on here recently with an article that explains the viewer demographic of Bb, and it was mostly older women, but I cant for the life of me find that post. I dont believe tibb is mostly older women, so I thought it made an interesting question. 'Who is bothering to vote', would also be an interesting question, but I cant cope with another backlash!

bots 28-07-2017 02:08 PM

With respect, its not for younger folks to say whether older people are offended by the comments or descriptions or not. If people take offence to it, they should be more thoughtful on how they express themselves

Paula D 28-07-2017 02:12 PM

My mistake, I forgot 13 year olds posted on here. The very reason I won't be back after this series.

I'll take that and any infraction that goes with it. I'll be glad to be banned if someone learns some respect from it.
