Ahh no not Pyriton. I used to take that stuff when I was younger and it made me so drowzy and ill.
Go to your GP and get a prescription if I were you.

Sorry. I'm tired and I have hayfever.

Nicola 17-06-2007 08:57 PM

God I was sneezing earlier, and my asthma's still playing up a little. I'm at a stage with the asthma at the moment where I'll be alright for a few days and then I'll be all wheezy - if people can hear the wheezing (as one or two have lately) then I know how bad things are.

CassetteFinger 19-06-2007 12:52 AM

ok well when you say it like that you know what ill just be quiet.

001steven 21-06-2007 11:06 AM

oh i hate this it is so annoying when your talking and you sneeze and eyes go red :shrug::laugh3:

Princess 26-06-2007 01:26 AM

My eyes feel at the moment like someone has suctioned out all of their fluid and added itching powder as a subsitute. Ouchy.

I have a head cold, and everyone keeps asking me if I have hay-fever. I've never had it before, so I doubt I ever will get it.

Am I right in thinking that people who suffer from it have done since childhood?
Just found out today that after 32 years of not having it I probably have now. Got drenched over the weekend so wasnt surprised when I started sneezing my head off today when out walking in the highlands, was still bad as soon as I got home. Friend of mine gave me a couple of hayfeaver tablets which I took (under protest) and within 30mins Im almost completely over it.

For anyone interested they are from Boots - Hayfever & allergy relief (Cetirizine Hydrochloride) and she says she got them when looking for ones that dont cause any drowzyness. Usually cant stand taking tablets but they really helped, worth a try if what your using isnt working well, (oh and she found she developed hayfever at about 17 ).

Princess 26-06-2007 08:24 PM

I might start taking something for mine, its horrible! Although I am going to Portugal on Saturday and I never get hayfever over there(YAY!).

nodisharmony 26-06-2007 09:26 PM

I have been bad with my Hayfever today:bawling:

It is horrible:yuk: and people who don't suffer from it are so lucky. But there are so many different strains of Hayfever.

Some people cannot leave the house.

Mine's been fine today. I think because my mind was elsewhere and I wasn't thinking about it AT ALL,it went away slighty. Hmm I should keep that in mind-not to keep it in mind!

Princess 29-05-2008 10:38 PM

BUMP!

It's back! Oh joy. I usually suffer but with my Leaving Cert(A-Levels) this year I'm taking Clariton(sp) which is helping a lot.

Loukas 29-05-2008 10:44 PM

Grrr i suffer from Hayfever too! It's SOOO annoying! I take Piriton, it helps me so much, plus it tastes nice too

Princess 29-05-2008 10:45 PM

I heard Piriton was good but apprently it may cause drowiness and with studying 8/9 hours a day I can't afford to be drowsy atm

Dan_ 29-05-2008 10:56 PM

Mine's not been too bad this year, just a few days of sniffles. The worst part is when your eyes start to itch and sting.

Z 29-05-2008 11:29 PM

Piriton:love:

But ugh, I've gradually come to accept that I've got hayfever and it's not just a cold in the middle of summer every year

Axiom 29-05-2008 11:32 PM

I always dread summer because of it! I hate the feeling when your eyes are all swelled up! :yuk:

Firewire 01-06-2008 08:05 AM

I get hayfever, it annoys my eyes and nose. It also makes me sneeze.

Barbie 01-06-2008 08:13 AM

i hate hayfever!!! i sit and my eyes nose and throat itch and my eyes water, i sneeze and i cant itch any of it!! it hasnt been so bad last year and this year because of all the rain we had but i have had it lightly recently but when it gets really bad my friends feel so awful coz they have to watch me suffer..
