I've been disappointed in it and Suranne Jones, her acting is a bit hammy and not very believable, think the national tv award has gone to her head

Think they should've left it after S1, this series has been pretty subpar.

Tbh with me it's the accent. I think she's fine but she struggles to keep up the accent whilst trying to act this meltdown so she's forcing it making it sound like someone's taking the piss out of a posh person. :joker:

Tbh series 1 wasn't all that. Pretty bog standard. Both series hint at mysteries of hidden agendas or deeper meanings before there isn't any.

The first series just had that cracking sequence in the final episode where she exposed them. But there was a lot of padding and unnecessary slow pacing to get there.

In this series, we've got half an episode being pointless because Gemma's going about telling Kate she slept with Simon in the most convoluted yet pointless way ever.

Did she finally have something on Simon? Was a master plan finally being executed? No, Gamma just wanted to say she shagged Simon and Kate's parents were funding their lifestyle. Something we knew in episode 1.

Lots of meandering and padding that is ultimately not needed.

Did she need to do all of that to lure Kate to a hotel? No, she could've just told Kate's parents and been there when she brought the kid round.

A lot of style over substance.

Yeah but it was bloody brilliant, so glad Simon got his commupence. Now I think one or both of them are going to end up dead, or Tom dies.
