Mayonaise?

I get a breaded (Tiger bread) chip cone, buttered, full of chips and a pot of gravy. Yum!

A battered sausage, chicken nuggets and a battered cod with chips, gravy and curry sauce.

Battered sausage and chips with loads of salt, vinegar and ketchup. Also love battered burgers but they never have any ready.

Just chips with salt and vinegar, very basic, I don't like my fish served fried tbh. Love it grilled or steamed...

doner kebab or taco chips (can be rotten sometimes, depends on the place) or if Chinese just a 3 in 1 (chips, rice, and curry sauce)

Never get the appeal of sausages in fish and chip shops, you only ever get one sausage and it's normally pretty terrible quality

I would either just get fish and chips or my local chippy does a steak pie, chips, peas and gravy deal which I often get. Always feel awful after it though

Josy I lived in England for 2 years and all you can really get is fish suppers :worry:. Some places do pies but they're not even deep fried... and sausage but it's not even in batter! Basically, they don't have proper chippies in England. And that was Lancashire, I can only imagine what apocalyptic chippy wasteland lies further south...


But on the subject of real chippies... I am partial to a steak pie supper, black pudding supper, or a cheeky half pizza crunch. Which for the uninitiated... is half of a cheap arse pizza deep fried in batter. When they're done right they're amazing... hahaha.

That said, I've kind of gone off chippy chips. There's one opposite my work and I've had one too many I think, haven't really been able to stomach them for over a year.

Yeah our sausage suppers are like the Scottish versions. I usually get a chicken supper with curry sauce and a mushy pea pie and I'm not English so call it a Chipper :hee:
