I do Christmas every year and my mom and her husband and one of my brothers usually comes down for that, that's enough hosting for me

Yeah, I live with my coursemates

caprimint 02-11-2017 11:14 AM

Nah not really, I'm not particularly bothered enough to socialize with anyone on a regular basis aside from my bf who I'm with every day, then chat a bit with my housemates whenever we're in the same room. We probably see his friend once a week on average, but hardly ever make an effort to meet my friends. Obviously text people a lot though.

Never heard of the powerhouse.

The Powerhouse was up in Vange as I recall (and was also the Bull) and the

The Powerhouse shut after a murder there (no surprise as it was rammed full of rogues)

Used to drink in the The Fortune of War - Laindon too as it was a good West Ham pub

:joker: what a name never heard of the place

Pitsea yes

Vicky. 02-11-2017 01:36 PM

Nope. I have always been pretty anti-social tbh. Gavin used to love going out though and he seems to have recently came over to the dark side with me. Now we decline most invitations in favour of staying in as its just a ****ing hassle to leave the house, sort babysitters, if we have a drink then theres a hangover with small kids to consider.... I think we are getting old

Locke. 02-11-2017 02:14 PM

Probably see my mates an average of once every 2 weeks these days

RileyH 02-11-2017 02:29 PM

Not really, I will every so often but I enjoy my own company etc

I used to go out everyday for like a year tho and I got bored soo

Greg! 02-11-2017 02:34 PM

Going out for me used to be a massive chore and was quite rare but since I've started uni I've been going out a few times a week :)

Jordan. 02-11-2017 02:51 PM

Absolutely not, nowt compares to a quiet evening alone

Firewire 02-11-2017 03:55 PM

About three times a year

Ramsay 02-11-2017 04:03 PM

All i used to care about was socialising up until about a year ago now all i want to do is sit in on my own and watch Archer.

Withano 02-11-2017 05:43 PM

Not really as I can't drink because of my stomach developing some sort of allergy to it and it's no fun being out sober with a load of pissed people but if someone invited me to an activity or just for coffee I happily would but nobody wants to do anything except party.

Daniel. 02-11-2017 06:12 PM

Three or four times a week

Rob! 02-11-2017 06:53 PM

Yeah I'm out fairly reguarly.

Amy Jade 02-11-2017 08:03 PM

Yeah, meet with my best friends 2 to 3 times a week, we have cards for the cinema so it's a good way to meet up.

We go out almost every friday night too.

y.winter 03-11-2017 09:13 AM

No, which is not that bad, though I should try a little bit harder.
Generally I don't really like crowded/loud places, I'm more of a stay-at-home/restaurant/park laid-back kind of person, and with just a couple of close friends, I don't find myself socializing a lot (nor feeling the need to compensate myself for it).

Crimson Dynamo 03-11-2017 09:22 AM

Last night we had salmon and baked potato/cottage cheese, a nice wine and the apprentice and grand designs cosied up on the sofa with the three dogs :hee:

you dont get that at a dinner party or in a club off your tits on heroin and poppers like teenagers do

:fist:

Tozzie 04-11-2017 07:14 PM

I love to socialise with my friends but these days not so much going to the pub or nightclubs, I'm too old, nope, these days its meet up for coffee and meals. I love musical theatre and cinema and we often meet up for those outings. I've a couple of circle of friends and we tend to do different things.

Cal. 04-11-2017 07:20 PM

I'll generally go out drinking once a week as well as one or two meals with friends. In the past week I've been to a party and had a carvery with friends so that pretty much checks out.
