Plus what Amir & Vardy said isn't as extreme as what Jack has said (unless there's alot more incriminating stuff on Amir & Vardy that i've missed ?) , i bet Jamie has said some silly stuff when he's out with his mates :nono: . Who knows maybe even Dennis has  .

I get the impression Amir was tying to be funny , you've seen how he acts a bit dopey . and Vardy well she was probably drunk . she's suppose to be a victim of internet troll/bullying aswell so very weird (but when people take to social media they lose their minds by looks of it ) .

It doesn't make it right but are we going to go on a witch hunt for every mistake a celebrity makes now ?? , this year has set off one hell of a media frenzy  .

If you can't tell the difference between a performance and someone on social media making out that gay people are predators then I don't know what to say.

Again, there's no such thing as shades of homophobia, you can't just be a little bit homophobic, you're either homophobic or you aren't and those comments were homophobic. Trying to downplay homophobia by saying that someone else could have made homophobic comments is just purely illogical and quite silly. Loads of things COULD have happened, loads of things could have been said but unless they are then it's not an argument you can lean on.

Unless you are gay or bi or whatever, you can't really tell anyone what is a joke and what isn't because you aren't the one being targeted by it. Don't downplay it just because the person who made homophobic remarks just happens to be good looking.

Okay you've lost me who exactly is goodlooking??? :conf::joker: . I'm not downplaying it , I'm saying Jack's tweets were more offensive it's not difficult to see that  .

I also never defended anyone making ignorant comments , but i'm just saying if we dig up other tweets and messages from celebrities i bet we'll find other stuff people wont like . And i think this is only happening because of what Jack has done which has made this spiral out of control , now people are putting a microscope over everything that ever get's said .

It's not about whether i can tell the difference in comedy and social media comments , because look at vile people like Jim Davidson who is a comedian and a racist , homophobic scumbag yet people find him funny and he even won BB one year :bored: .

Who are you to say what is more offensive if you are not apart of the demographic he is offending?

If there was nothing to dig up then there wouldn't be a problem. Anyone that is homophobic or racist or whatever online is a ****ing idiot especially if they are in the public eye. Anir Khan made homophobic comments, deal with it.

All kinds of people find idiotic ignorant comments offensive , you don't have to be targeted personally .

You're still not acknowledging scumbags like Jim Davidson but ok whatever :bored: .

And i still don't understand the statement about "goodlooking" :conf: . And Vardy's comment's were stupid aswell on twitter , i already said i'm not defending their comments  . I'm trying to explain that once the crap hits the fan then other dodgy stuff comes out all of a sudden that would of been ignored or brushed off .

Just seems weird how there was no media scandals last year except for joel's nudes , why is this year different? because of JACK and his foul mouth that's why :bored: .

Why are Amir & Vardy's tweet's only just being discovered now?? , Vardy was on a programme about trolls and how she was a victim and even from then i didn't see anything calling her out , and Amir's only scandal that was about his marriage problems .

Calling people "gay" has always happened in a joke ,I cannot see anything wrong in it myself

Its not always used as in insult towards people, I wish people would lighten up and not spend their lives waiting for someone to say something they disagree with then make a big issue out of it, lives too short, just ignore and move on

bots 22-11-2017 09:14 AM

Lets look at it another way. There are things i find offensive on TV, and if I do, I change channel and watch something else. If someone hasn't been proven guilty of a crime, what right have we to dictate how others behave?

Its just such a nanny state, its getting silly.

Yes but I was specifically talking about Amirs tweets where he was using it as an insult, obviously using the word gay isn't bad :/

It's nice to be so free thinking when the insult isn't actually affecting you though  How did you like it when people were referring posters here and on FB as "cat ladies" Live and Let live?

ETA: I'm not saying I think Amir should be kicked out but it isn't nice for gay people I would imagine to be used as the butt of someones jokes

How does it effect ANYONE ? The Cat ladies was a childish, immature saying used by a gang ,not one person so that gang attacking, totally different

So basically it depends if you think people are referring to you or not whether you consider it offensive? Thought so.

I hate, despise cats ............ People are too precious now and take everything so seriously ,their lives revolve around digging for **** to throw at people, move on ,ignore and get on with your lives ,without he called you something wrong direct to your face

I actually agree with this. People seem to have turned into snowflakes and looking for anything to be offended about. Does it make their day any better by complaining about it? I dread to think how they would've coped in the 70's and 80's when tv shows (especially comedy) was tinged with homophobia, racism and sexism on a regular basis. They'd have a fit.

No one is actually having a fit though, I was just saying that it must not be very nice to be the butt of someones joke like that. I have no idea what the relevance is about going back to the 70's/80's, thankfully we've moved on from when sexism/racism was rife and now it's not ok to do things like touch womens asses at work and make sure they make the coffee for the boys etc

Crimson Dynamo 22-11-2017 10:33 AM

again, its NOT about ANYONE being offended its about the Network loosing ad revenue.

Im a Celeb is a big ticket show for ITV and ad deals are being negotiated all the time. If the agencies get a sniff of some controversy they will leverage that to get discounts and better deals

"I dont think my client John Lewis want to be associated with a programme that showcases homophobes"

"Ok, how about we knock off £20,000 will you go ahead"?

"its a deal"

They cant afford it so it will be interesting to see how they deal with Vardy and Khan as they have shot their bolt with Jack (unless there is more to it not yet out in the open)

If the Jack ejection (if he was ejected) was solely because of the tweets we saw then it would be really unfair on him not to also eject Rebekah & Amir. This whole Twitter culture though is a mess and it's making it really really messy for Reality Shows like this one and CBB etc

its also very unfair to remove him and not explain to the campmates (but it will be in the contract)

what is far worse is to say he has been removed as they did last night and

1. not say why, treating us like twats

2. go ahead and show him for the rest of that ep
