You find it sexist. That's your right, I disagree. The rest of the stuff about women voting and the crowd being scummy... I can't really comment on who boos the loudest and who picks up the phone.

:clap1:

Literally the most offensive thing uttered in tonight's show is the comparison between IKEA and the Big Brother house

It's extremely sexist, that's what I think, but I guess the show won't be affected by it because not a lot of men watch the show... which brings me to the question... does this not mean WOMEN watching this show are to blame? They are the ones booing every good looking female who enter, it aint the men.

So lets not pretend it's males. Female BB viewers eg. the crowd are quite scummy.... who hate any successful women,

I agree. I think the issue is women seem to think its a one way system and that they can speak and treat men how they want but men have to have respect and not do certain things as they are sexist. If magic mike was called magic mickaler it would have been a very different story

Pete. 02-01-2018 10:57 PM

Not only will ratings and interest really drop, men honestly don’t need special treatment

I had a worse time waking up this morning than I have ever had dealing with misandry in all my life

There was 'man hating' tonight? I must have missed that :joker:

BB viewers have been proven to be 82/18 in a recent skew last year towards women, so they largely are the ones booing and voting. No, I don't think men make the "decisions". In all the jobs I have had, I have answered to women, with no male in the 5 jobs have ever made any bad remarks about their boss'.

And having ties to army, I know a lot of women who are on courses to train for RAF, and other military roles.

For me, the comments steered towards men echo Loose Women's. Now, i wonder if i said "women belong in the kitchen", if it was taken as lightly as if a woman said to me "man up, you're a man", again putting that good ole' men are emotionless robots to the forefront.

Like I said, i have nothing against Girl Power... Spice Girls were iconic in the 1990s. But shows like Loose Women, to me, is disgusting and should be taken off air.

Exactly what I thought  if they swapped the genders of the phrasing, I'd think " :joker: why are we celebrating men?", because even if they most likely don't give 2 ****s about women's rights, the sentiment and awareness is there at least

Women seem to think...?

So that's women, then. All summed up.

And the Magic Mike analogy... LOL... WTF?

If the gender had been swapped from male to female in the comments that were made trust me you would have noticed.

Yep. I constantly see tweets such as "all men are the same", "i hate men", ****, you had a problem with 1 man, doesn't mean the other 3b are the same :joker:

Now, if i say "all women are the same", i'd probably have my house on fire as soon as i hit send. And when i said to the tweet "naa, don't paint men all the same brush", I was called SEXIST.

wut

Beso 02-01-2018 11:05 PM

You're supporting a comment which makes a generalisation about women while also complaining about generalisations about men.... :conf:

bye

*mazedsalv** 02-01-2018 11:06 PM

I support people based on what they are like. Not gender, and that's what every human being should do. Not exclaim QUEEN or KING just because of their gender.

I can guarantee I'll be called sexist after this... how dare i have women and men as favourites!! :o

What? If you bothered to read my comment, i said IF i said a comment like that. What comment am I supporting? Please enlighten me.

My " don't paint all men with the same brush" was the response to the "all men are the same"... and last I know, I never said "women are all the same".

You said yep in response to "think the issue is women seem to think its a one way system"

You'd know that if you bothered to read BBUKFan88's comment :)

Thats all i was trying to say. Everyone should treat people equally regardless of gender. Not have it so its one Rule for one and one for another in terms of what you can say.

It's just some people who try to make a deal out of everything. Everyone should be equal, but i see a few people really seem to think women are superior. I don't think any gender is. EQUALITY is the word here, not SUPERIORITY.

Tonight's show and Loose Women are about SUPERIORITY not EQUALITY. I thought we were focusing on that?

I have to say I'm quite surprised you're so offended by something like this show, and of Loose Women. I'd like if off the air too but because it's sh*t.

I also have links to the army. The UK appointed their first female general ever... in 2015. Things are moving but they are moving glacially slowly and it'll be a long, long time before women are actually equal, and that's just in the West. Let's not even get into women's place in the world.

I don't know one woman who thinks women are superior. Not one. If one dim woman says we are, then she's clearly not the deep thinker she thinks she is.

Withano 02-01-2018 11:16 PM

I don't think anyone would bat an eyelid at an all male cast. They don't even need a legit reason to do it, like they did have for the female-only cast. It's not at all sexist. They wanted to do something different, they had some sort of logic behind it, and they done it.
