No surprises there. Wouldn’t trust any of them.

The only labour MP mentioned in the article is Yvette Cooper who is scrutinising the decision to release this rapist early.

Got anything to back up your claims?

They release sick horrible predators / rapists out so they can basically commit the same crimes again  .

This isn't just 1 or 2 victims !! , What complete injustice ! Are they insane or what !! .

Keir Starmer was Director of Public Prosecutions at the time

You beat me to it.
Saw it on the tv this morning.

After looking into Keir Starmer, there's a lot of 'maybes', 'possibles' and 'probablys' regarding his apparent involvement in this case. I don't think I've found one source that's said that he was definitely involved in the decisions regarding sentencing. The only thing people seem to be latching onto is that he was the director at the time without providing any kind of proof that he had a hand in not pursuing a longer sentence.

I don't pick up pitchforks and torches on a 'probably'.

Really! I can’t believe you had the audacity to say that. :fist: I think picking up pitchforks and torches on a maybe is exactly what you do.

Have you got anything to add to or say about my posts or are you just gonna keep chiming in with personal jibes?

There will not be a judicial review of this case, which astounds me. He raped > 100 women, gets out after 8 years, and someone committing fraud can get 10 years. Its the height of stupidity

It's ridiculous, violent and sexual crimes should be the most severely sentence imo

Bring back the death penalty I say!

smudgie 19-01-2018 01:20 PM

Hopefully he will be rearrested and charged with more of his crimes.

Livia 19-01-2018 01:28 PM

It's unfair. It's totally unfair. But it's not like the judiciary always gets it right.

For instance... Saleh Ibrahim Mabrouk who was charged with conspiracy to murder PC Yvonne Fletcher outside the Libyan embassy, was informed in 2016 that charges against him are being dropped for the sake of "national security" and that he's free to live in his five bedroom house in Reading and continue to receive handouts. While one of the SAS soldiers involved in freeing hostages from the Iranian Embassy is now living in a hostel, supported by friends, because his local council has not been able to house him.
