I'd like to say I was surprised that things like this happen but I am sure there are plenty of other similar events regularly that we don't hear about.

Livia 24-01-2018 03:48 PM

I kind of pity men who have to take part in something so degrading. Maybe they have miserable, hen-pecked little lives. I really ****ing hope so. How great that the whole seedy thing has been dragged into the daylight.

I just wonder why any woman would do it? no amount of money would tempt me to indulge in something I was against or found seedy, the men are awful but I cant help but think if the women didn't do it they couldn't carry it on,or have I got it all wrong:shrug:

Blaming the women for being groped bloody hell

Marsh. 24-01-2018 09:20 PM

Can I ask, how is it sexual harassment if the women are willingly putting themselves forward for this?

The men create the situation but unfortunately too many women go along with it for whatever reason. It is hard to imagine in this situation they had no voice.

Well it doesn't say groping was part of the job

I haven't read the full thing, but in the OP it says the women are told what is expected of them beforehand?

If not, why haven't they left and informed the police? :worry:

Besides the matching underwear part (which is a bit of an odd ask, granted) the other things listed are what they were asked to do when they got there by the guests, not what it said in the job description

The women were hired as hostesses, I'm not sure if I was hired as a hostess I'd be expecting to have my arse felt. I think once they were there, there was a pressure on them, they'd been paid (although not much in real terms) so there was a kind of contract. I imagine the girls were young... it must have been a scary experience. . If it was me you and Niamh, we'd have torn several of them them a new arsehole, I'm sure. But they were young girls out of their depth. And I'm sure a lot of the tossers that were there that night have daughters around the same age.

Not only that; they'd probably go nuclear if someone their age acted that way towards their daughter. Huge double standard there.

It mystifies me how people can be at peace with that kind of double standard.

I bet a lot of men think that. Until their young daughter gets an offer of a cash in hand job and a taxi home. Then it would be a problem.

If I knew I was going to be given a black dress to wear, I would assume I needed dark underwear which wouldn't show through. If any asked, I suspect they were given that as a reason and it could of been a very valid reason.

It was clearly a night of sexual provocation and lewdness; why else would it be a men only event with only young slim scantily clad females. The company that employed these women need taking to task.

As for the men who attended, they probably did believe these women to be high class escorts. I'm sure though, some of those men were there solely for the charity event and didn't have any interaction with a girl in a black dress.

DemolitionRed 25-01-2018 12:26 PM

Encouraging the female hostesses to drink alcohol was so wrong.
