Exactly! Why didn’t I just say that! Haha

They're not

I'm the "B" in "LGBT" but if I was expected to be an "example" of anything should I get in BB, I'd hate it. It doesn't matter that I'm LGBT, no-one cares these days. It's like saying I should represent people who wear Converse.

This is why there are so many problems.

Because only young good looking people who constantly shout their gender or sexuality around the streets are seen as role models

Shane is obsessed with his sexuality. Someone needs to tell him his sexuality is a small part of him as a person.

It's not everything about him. And nor should it be. But he has this huge axe to grind.

It’s exactly the same thing. Exactly.

You are not going to change Ann or history.

Accept that she will not change, try not to over analyse or you will just go round in circles.

Ann is not the worst, her day has passed and she is an elderly lady on a TV show.

Is she really worth all this angst and dragging up old hurts because it doesn't hurt her it only hurts you. Xx

Don't waste your time.

The arguments used against same sex marriage were mostly used against interracial marriage 50-60 years ago in the US (yeah I know this is a British show, it's just an example). But people don't care because homophobia is not taboo.

And I wouldn't try to. My point was about Amanda and Wane’s constant backing of someone who thinks the way they live their lives to be abhorrent.

When has she said it's abhorrent?

They’re not backing her views, they’re backing her as a person

They’re understanding and being tolerant of the fact that people can find common ground despite conflicting political standpoints, which is something Shane j needs to learn to do

But your views ARE who you are! The way we see the world is everything we are. I will keep bringing this back to the race allegory; if she had voted against black rights would you be defending two people of colour who chose to stand by her.

If our view points are not who we are, and our sexuality, race or gender is not who we are.. then who the **** are we?!

People will walk away if you keep shouting about your rights.

We all have rights, we all have things we don't like about our lives, make the best of what you have and stop whining.

Have another drink, you’ve stopped making sense

It makes sense - we don't say "I'M A LOUD PROUD BLUE EYED PERSON, GET OVER IT!" do it, because blue eyes don't affect us as a person. Centering your personality around being gay makes as much sense as doing so around your eye colour.
