Imo the whole promotianal giant Emma spouting out "this is big brother the year of the woman" is far more annoying....because it really isn't and is so contradictary seeing as it's supposed to be equal rights.

Big brother failed again.

Withano 30-01-2018 03:47 AM

Gay rights, trans rights, feminism, catholicism off the top of my head. Theres probably more. Hes actually probably the best conversationalist in the house so idk where you got his one-track mind from.

Crimson Dynamo 30-01-2018 07:21 AM

These are all allied to his favourite topic and slating Ann

Nothing to do with any other world issues or happenings

Oh Yes, There is another topic but that is to do with the above, he loves talking about himself.

When you actually read the original posting, it says it is his only topic. It would help if you actually understand a post before saying it is stupid and petty.

He just can't seem to give the subject a rest and will always bring it into the conversation. Isn't there other issues that he just might give more than a seconds thought about.

Even Jess has asked about world issues.

Maggie's discussions were not shown about the Rochdale abuse

Ann can give insightful political reminiscences

Wayne has told of his career throughout the world.

Not asking for Panorama type shows but a mix from incessant showmance and Gay sex politics was being put forward by the theme, Year of the Woman.

great post poppy - similar to my thoughts today - done a poem on big brother rights - include shane in it. he is just going about it in the wrong way.

The rest of the house have given such bigoted views im shocked no one is standing up for this dude.

He's been the same since day 1 and isnt pregidised unlike others who get away with hate speech.

I am writing about how he is in the CBB house. I have heard enough from this one trick pony to last a lifetime and I am very open to all sorts of human rights equality, not just sexuality.

If he can turn off a liberal like me, by his incessant banging on his favourite drum, someone should tell him less is more and can bring better results. Even his housemates have lost patience with him.

AnnieK 30-01-2018 08:15 AM

He is very passionate about the subject and with that passion he wants to talk about it and try and get his voice heard. Nothing wrong with that but it is a little repetitive and if you are locked in the house I guess it would get tiresome, he even said last night that HE is sick of his own voice.

The problem is if you actually want to exact change then droning on like a stuck record will STOP people listening

He needs to get some life experiences first

I think, amid all the campaign talk, he said he had not even had a proper relationship yet !!

I mean i think he should concentrate on that

I find his conversations dull and far too centred on himself.

I do agree, he needs to find his fulfillment in a relationship like Amanda and Wayne who can then relax and take a wider view of the whole scene.

Shane J has failed many times to find a lasting relationship (his words) and the fact he goes after straight men to change brings him only rejection. One asks the question why he needs to to do this when there are so many gay men in his world. Is it that he likes these straight men or is it the urge to make them say he has changed them which is the over riding factor.

Who knows but for all his Gay rights and campaigning, it hasn't brought him lasting personal happiness.

LMAOOOOOOOooooo

You understand that women were oppressed, and still are? It's not just gays you know. Seems to me that your take is that we can't overdo the "women" thing because it's not mentioning the gays.

I agree with the sentiment that there are other issues, but I wouldn’t say women are still oppressed. A lot of feminist issues apply to men as well they’re just not spoken about as much

No they’re not. The wage gap has been debunked 18292282 times, sexual abuse rates are also misleading as a lot of women cry wolf/both sexes tend to not be very open about it. Women get all the same job opportunities as men and can get positions of power: the 6 most powerful people in the uk are women for example. Women also win child custody battles, access to domestic abuse shelters (ive met men who have said that they’ve been denied places at domestic abuse shelters because ‘we only take in women’), they win divorce settlements and their sexual abuse cases are taken very seriously and are favoured in these cases, which is the opposite for how men are treated in these situations.

What do women have to deal with that makes them opppressed

Robodog 30-01-2018 10:05 AM

Some men have oppressed some women
Some men have also oppressed some men

Some women have oppressed some women
Some women have also oppressed some men

Oppressive behaviour, unkindness, prejudice, hate etc etc -
these are not traits exclusive to any one gender or race

Every human is capable of being good, bad or indifferent to others.

We are individuals with individual choices.
We choose how we think and choose how we behave.

The war is not men v women, black v white.
You can't blame a whole gender or a whole race for the actions of a few!

The MAJORITY of people are good people - of ALL backgrounds and types.

NO race or gender are your enemy! It's racist or sexist to frame it like that.

Ignorance and oppressive attitudes and behaviour - that is the enemy.
And it can come from anyone, anywhere.

Right so you too agree that the thread is inaccurate, cool.

Ok

You might think so but I couldn't possibly agree. Did Margaret Thatcher say that, now there's a woman

Well, I listed three off the top of my head, you agreed that he did speak of those issues, and mentioned a fourth.

I struggle to follow your logic-gymnastics where this doesnt contradict your thread topic of 'he only talks of one thing'.

It was a figure of speech, or I can't count or I couldn't care less

Take your pick, the topic is the same.

All of those work fine with me. Dont see why you had to fight it the first time, this was way easier.
