Nice to hear, it's amazing how often family members aren't supportive when someone comes out. Guess he's not so bad after all :clap2:

Andrew is not even gay, but he can see that gay rights fight is still relevant and worthy cause

Andrew's sister, Bex, has this to say:

Go Courtney, go Andrew! final push for the win :cheer2:

Oh woopy doo,who cares ?,go teach your brother some manners.

Just stop shoving the LBGT down our throats its over bearing.

so why you care to read and post in this thread? The title said clearly it was about lgbt. So we shove it down your throat and yet you come for more
Just ignore it, mate. Or is it the problem that threads supporting lgbt exist at all?

Well actually he is at least as to that.

In many families, those being Gay anguish at times as to coming out.
When they do it is amazing how badly one or more of their siblings take it.

No everyone, you may be surprised to learn, gets solid family support at the time or for a long period afterwards.

Easy to scoff but lives can be devastated when anyone comes out to family, then finds rejection.

I adore Shane and Andrew friendship, so i can't want for tonight show. And it's nice to see Andrew and his sister supporting Shane. I think Shane is indeed amazing.

hate to break the news, but in some families that's what happens. Parents, silbilings distance themselves or even disown their gay relatives.
So it is refreshing he offers full and public support even though I bet he will get some ribbing from his straight mates and strangers.

Kazanne 01-02-2018 05:26 PM

I will be honest here I don't believe a word Andrew says let alone his family, so I take it all with a pinch of salt, attention seeking at it's worst.

Really Joey you are claiming millenials have closed minds? I think it would be very rare, we are talking about brothers and sisters in their 20s on this thread, not parents, bringing in an older generation is just muddying the waters on your behalf

poppsywoppsy 01-02-2018 05:44 PM

Yes gay people have their difficulties

Old people have their difficulties

Disabled people have their difficulties

Mentally ill people have their difficulties

Cancer sufferers have more than their fair share of difficulties

But who are the ones making most noise about theirs?
