you can't complain about a man winning the Year of a Woman when men were eligible to win anyways

Black Dagger 02-02-2018 09:48 PM

It was a **** tagline that lasted 3 days.

Yes this!

I don't really understand why a woman has to win year of the woman and people using feminism, a man and woman was the final two so both genders had the chance to win :joker: a woman only winning because of their gender is not feminism at all and it's not like we didn't crown three females last year :joker:

Niamh. 02-02-2018 09:50 PM

Since Shane J/Courtney is both male and female, equality won :hee:

bots 02-02-2018 09:51 PM

Courtney got 49% of the vote, so it wasn't close

You’ll trigger the feminists calling him female

what ashame i actually was hoping i'd be wrong for a change :joker: but i predicted pretty much every finishing place except for Shane L & Jess i predicted those swapped around . But i'm happy Shane L got higher votes than i thought he would :) .

Ann's mentality exactly

She's said MANY times in the house she believes in a level playing field and is against positive discrimination

Allowing equal opportunities not forcing equality of outcome

Withano 03-02-2018 12:21 AM

Shane J was the biggest feminist in the house

.....feminism is equality though so that would mean any gender would be perfect and right and fitting...all’s well that ends well as it were...a great result..

Look at all the boys in here explaining what feminism is. Sweet of you to think it needs explaining....

If they'd have wanted a woman to win they'd have made it an all-woman show. But they couldn't do that because we'd have been swept away in a tsunami of "whataboutism".

ethanjames 03-02-2018 09:53 AM

Courtney was the biggest feminist in the house? what are u trying to get at

We don't need a drag artist to tell us about feminism thank you very much, he can shove that where he shoves his genitalia.

Well clearly we do, because some people just don’t seem to quite get it just yet!

Exhibit A!

I am a radical feminist and I don't think women need to win year of the woman for the sake of it.

We've just had two strong female winners, proving the GBP aren't sexist.

Absolutely. It was the public who voted for the winner not BB. So pleased Courtney won. A very well deserved winner.

Maybe not but should a gay drag queen who parodies women. It suggests a less than admirable view of wome if people actually take the time to think about it. If they don’t - why don’t they?

poppsywoppsy 03-02-2018 12:11 PM

I view drag queens the same way as Elvis impersonators.

Dated, second rate exhibitionists who do not have enough talent to make it themselves then hide behind a mask to give a poor imitation of a real star.
