Earliest memory was waiting for 6pm and free BT internet to kick in dial-up and every two hours would get kicked off...

The Year 3000 music video being played constantly whenever we got to use the computer room in Year 6.

The Miniclip craze (everyone at school was hooked on Acno's / Aqua Energizer, Bubble Trouble and the beat up Bin Laden game).

My friends had a sleepover when I was like 11 and they all decided to watch porn and while they were like "yeah look at dem titties" I was like "omg I love how she whipped her hair back so glam x"

Me and a mate sneaking on early in the mo9rning to look up Megadrive cheat codes, probably around 1995 :joker:. We had to sneak on because not only was it dial-up, but it was charged by the minute at local rate :joker:. The real internetting didn't start until around '99 / 2000 when we finally got "all you can eat" dial-up so could go on for more than 15 minutes at a time, heh. Though I'm sure it was only free at off peak times, so after 6pm on weekdays and then all weekend. I remember waiting impatiently until 6pm to log in... then my mum complaining all night about me tying up the phone line. We eventually got a second phone line put in...

Omg, yeah, Asking Jeeves for cheat codes for the PS1/PS2. :skull:

I remember going to my friends house and buying habbo coins through his landline then going to my other friends house the same day and used his landline to vote for Makosi to win about 50 times

Shaun 01-03-2018 10:41 PM

didn't get a connection at home until 2005, my first experience was using the (one) computer at my primary school in, like, 2000, to look at the CITV website :skull:

There was another makeover game that wasn't Eastenders, think it just used random celebrities like Paris Hilton. Can't remember what it was called (and also totally didn't use it since it would've been, like, 2006, when I was sixteen...)

Gstar 01-03-2018 10:42 PM

2005 really was a time to be alive

reece(: 01-03-2018 11:34 PM

Not you raising someone else's phone bill through the roof trying to make Makosi the winner of Big Brother 2005.

I think it was during BB6, I went on 4Chat and started chatting to BB fans. They did chats for BB6 housemates after they left. I missed Makosi </3

I hated dial up !! :fist::oh: and that stupid sound it use to make ,it was such an ancient invention .

I remember msn and Myspace ,and I use to use Yahoo messenger and Yahoo mail before I switched to Hotmail .

And I remember playing snake on the computer, that was a craze in the early 00's :joker: .
