Actually I don't mind Tom, Palesa was the one who drew the line in the sand the previous episode. Tom came out pretty well this episode I thought, and I want to see a balanced edit. Happy with the one who got voted out ep5. I can't really take to Palesa. |
Four episodes in and I'm loving this so far! I was about to say it feels like an old school Survivor season, but the swap into three tribes and the introduction of a third idol makes me realise I might have been a bit hasty in thinking that

Tom didn't make Chané sick, it will just have been her eating too much chocolate. Ironic as she was complaining Tom was eating too much. Not the best result this episode, I wish the merge had come this week.

Finally have some time to start this and the first ~6 minutes is the best bit of Survivor I've seen since Kaoh Rong.

I found out today (well, via reading back through the thread on Clubs) that Seamus is apparently a neo-Nazi??? (or at least has a Wolfsangel tattoo, and as far as I'm aware that doesn't mean something different in South Africa to what it does in the rest of the world? Unless he's just a bit thick and always flunked History in school?)
On the bright side, I suppose me getting genuinely disappointed that someone in the cast might get a bit giddy over the Fourth Reich now and again is a sign of how strong this cast is, and that's not a sentence I ever expected to construct! |

I just finished episode 3 and want to say that I *love* Stacey-Lee. Something about her arc of "tribe hero bc she can start fire in <90 seconds" to "cocky beta to even cockier Jeanne (:love:) and being completely oblivious to everyone hating them" to "wants to quit for literally no discernible reason" just really clicks with me. I also loved the following exchange at TC which I'll paraphrase.
Nico: Stacey-Lee... our medical team cleared you. You have been cleared to play this game. Stacey: Yeah they did but you know when your body can't take anymore :\ Nico: So you're going to let down your tribe? And your alliance? Stacey: Yeah :\ |

Just finished episode 4 and even the production decisions are so good and refreshing? Like giving the third tribe a decked out camp was nice to see for once and it made the stakes of the Reward Challenge so much higher. Not to mention that it was nice to see that the new tribes weren't automatically assigned a beach and that they got to choose based on how they finished in the challenge.
