Yeah I can't hear a "y" sound. But the girl i am working with can only hear y and no l. I think this is why when I am singing in the office I get things thrown at me, they all can't hear properly!! :laugh:

It's a low quality recording of somebody pronouncing the name Laurel, but those with better hearing (can hear higher frequencies) hear Yanny. So at least those hearing Yanny can admit to having better hearing, whereas they can't admit to being right. :hee:

We did it in a Science lesson once when I was at school. Our teacher would slowly raise the frequency of a recording and we'd all put our hands down when we could no longer hear it, and everyone put their hands down at different times.
