There's no modern computer/laptop out there that should be that time consuming with updates . So I cancelled the automatic updates as it became a joke as it was configuring loads all day :bored:  .

my point is, the normal windows update i can still use properly, the whole asus live update is only for the laptop itself, if it worked fine, but it never worked, people had trouble with it since 2008, i just don't delete it bc it is part of my asus laptop and i don't know what will happen if you delete it

I think it's best then just to have it on manual  so you can control it more . Like I said I've done that with general updates and now I get the option to run updates or cancel them .

yes, as long as my laptop works well for me

anyway in case my laptop breaks down i have all my songs on a external hard drive, so i don't have to download them again

You can remove live update (I would since its pretty pointless) just to be safe though make sure to create a restore point before removing that or any other program.

If you need driver updates in the future you can do it directly from the asus website.

Create a restore point before doing anything and then uninstall Asus Updates.
