To answer the question of the thread, no I've never done Ramadam or been apart of the process in anyway, my neighbours are Muslim, but I've just never spoken to them that much as me and strangers just don't match in real life. |
It's tradition for them to share food ,nice kind gesture really :) .
Sometimes when they've had weddings they might share food as well with friends & neighbors . |

Most people always rave about Chinese, but you can't beat a good Indian curry for me. |
Bing Bong, my neighbours have just delivered some rice, samosas, onion bhajis and lamb kebabs all home made :cheer2:
|
That’s sounds so good Cherie
We have Muslim neighbours who give food too! The samosas are to die for |

Don't have any, no Muslims in my village I don't think. Shame really because I LOVE their cuisine!

I remember this happening even as a kid, neighbours sharing their stuff on particular celebrations. When I worked at an east London College loads of the Asian women would bring in food for different occasions, Some people would bring in hot cross buns at Easter, I took in sufganiyot, a kind of little doughnut, at Hanukkah. I miss all that. What I don't remember is any of us arguing about religion.

I miss out Turkish neighbours the food they use to give us was just URGH!!
