I mean basically he's saying, he would have slept with her too but eventhough they'd both have done the same thing she would be dirty and not good enough for him now or something?

That's not as common as you think though and society simply does not judge a man for having sex like it does for women. Men sleeping around are ultimately called 'Casanovas' or 'heartbreakers'. They don't often get condemned like women are for enjoying sex with whom they wish.
