Not Dairy Food
and its Medicines that matter.

Greg do you understand?
No Deal does not have enough votes
to go through Parliament.

Making this thread worthless.

Other countries seem to manage ok outside the EU, I'm sure we'll be fine.

Other countries have agreements and free trade arrangements with the EU and other countries, whereas the UK won't if there's no deal

Clearly the government thinks it's a possibility otherwise they wouldn't be making contingency plans for it?

No. But why should they give us a deal if it won't be beneficial to them and if the UK is cherry picking bits of the EU they want to remain a part of but leave bits they're not fans of, which is what the current strategy of the UK is.

Its a great trick for you/

Its a Fact
to get no deal through our Parliament
it needs solid votes.
Not enough are there.

So a New Deal is to be worked out.

Making Plans changes nothing in Parliament Votes.

Northern Monkey 29-07-2018 03:57 PM

Seems like the sensible thing to do no?

What would be irresponsible is NOT preparing for no deal.

i think you have missed the point arista, a no deal doesn't require a vote in parliament, it is a default on there being no agreement with the EU, and something that is more than likely.

Northern Monkey 29-07-2018 04:21 PM

The EU won’t let us leave with no deal. They need a deal. For the sake of negotiations,It’s good to show them that we’re serious and WE ARE LEAVING with or without a deal.

arista.Article 50 is triggered. If no deal was reached then we’d be out with no deal and default to the WTO.Our parliament has no authority over the EU.

A default that can be blocked by Votes.

No it can't Arista. We have put forward our proposals as authorised by parliament. If the EU do no agree to those principles, it is a no deal. There will be no vote on a no deal, and we exit the EU in March with or without that deal

Due to likely food and medicine shortages. Was it worth it then, people who voted leave?

[Supermarkets criticise food stockpiling suggestion in event of 'no deal' Brexit
The government's suggestion stores should stockpile food in the event of a "no deal" Brexit has been slammed as "not practical".]

stockpiled goods and in the case of fresh produce,
it is simply not possible to do so.]
