She is clearly not a 1 hit wonder She's had 3 number 1 singles, 4 top 10 singles and 2 top 30 ( I blame myself for the last one as I was in the video for it and it flopped at 33). She's also had a number 1 album and 2 top 20 albums with her most recent hitting number 16 in the UK and number 8 in Scotland just this year. I'm not an avid fan but ive met her and she is a lovely woman who has been through a lot and is still very much working in music, stage and tv :) Educate yourself. |

If a statement of fact riles you up, you need to grow up. I never said she wasn't working. You clearly want her to be bigger than she is because of your little appearance in her video. Sadly, it's not happened. |

Although she has had a few flops to call her a one hit wonder is just factually incorrect.
She had 3 number one singles for a start... |
I don't like Alexandra Burke but Hallelujah is clearly a hit regardless if it is a cover. It is one of the UK biggest selling singles by a female artist ever
|
Is it a hit because of her or because the X Factor machine was at its Christmas No. 1 peak?

99% of X Factor acts struggle once the boost of the show itself ends. Even Leona Lewis struggled and she's arguably the most talented find they had. |

A one hit wonder she remains. X Factor Christmas No. 1 doesn't count as Mr. Blobby could've sung it back then and it would've sold. Just like Bleeding Love is really Leona Lewis' debut single, not the money making X Factor factory version of Kelly Clarkson's first single. |

Hallelujah not being a hit because it was released at christmas :skull:

All Night Long feat. Pitbull remains a bloody banger!
|
I only remember her doing All Night Long (solo version)
|
Well, that's not what was said, was it?
I said it's an X Factor hit, not really something that can be put on Burke's shoulders. X Factor and its popularity carried that number 1. Literally any of the final 12 could've released that. Leon bloody Jackson got a number 1 the year before for goodness sake. |

Regardless if she got loads of promotion to sell the song from The X-Factor or not, that's completely irrelevant, she is listed as the artist who sang the song and so its her hit, simple. It doesn't matter what means get a song to become a hit, a hit is a hit regardless. If you do not understand that then that is rather worrying. |
