Actually the police and media have been referring to it as a "suspected terror attack" since it happened. Only on TiBB are we not allowed to refer to it that way.

Well it was only half an hour ago that the BBC said it was being treated as a terror attack but I guess if you say so Livia...

I heard the words "suspected terror attack" when my alarm clock woke me this morning, but I guess if you say so, Smithy...

there is a video of it actually happening on the bbc news site. I'm not going to post it here for obvious reasons, but it is obviously deliberate, and police were there at the time and on the guy in literally seconds

Don't shoot the messenger.

Alf 14-08-2018 12:12 PM

Something smells fishy about this.

Surely a planned attack would have taken the barriers into consideration?

Livia 14-08-2018 12:14 PM

I hope that he was trying to crush pedestrians and just wasn't very good at it.

Or perhaps there's something dodgy in the car...?

All conjecture of course, until more news is released.

Alf 14-08-2018 12:18 PM

Has anybody tried to pin it on Boris yet?

Evil twat! Glad he botched it. Let him rot.

lewis111 14-08-2018 05:11 PM

Just watched the video and it seems weird
It doesn’t look like an accident but also doesn’t look like he was aiming for pedestrians?

Probably had his eyes shut praying to the big imaginary bloke in the sky.

Yes
Let him rot

I agree

When I read about it it sent a shiver down my spine and took me back to the night of the 3rd of June.

Not surprised that it's a terror attack. Won't be surprised when the motives will be revealed. Another symptom of the British tiptoeing around the obvious problem.

arista 14-08-2018 06:06 PM

The current threat level for international terrorism in the UK is SEVERE.

The final level is Critical
it is not there yet

Last CRITICAL was
15 September 2017

[What the threat levels mean:
Threat levels are designed to give a broad indication of the likelihood of a terrorist attack.
LOW means an attack is unlikely.
MODERATE means an attack is possible, but not likely
SUBSTANTIAL means an attack is a strong possibility
SEVERE means an attack is highly likely
CRITICAL means an attack is expected imminently]

We know that police are searching addresses in Birmingham and Nottingham as part of their investigation.
Plain-clothed officers have been seen outside a property in Peveril Street, Nottingham,
which neighbours say is home to six people.
Ibrahim Ahmed, 24, who lives in the same terrace row,
said: "It's Sudanese people who live there."
And Benas Butkevicius, who lives next door to the house that
was raided, said: "I was asleep when it happened. I just heard some banging and scratching."]
