Don't get me wrong I think Scientology is a crock of **** and is known to be full of crazy people but Christianity has to be the most ludicrous deliberately made up "religions" known to man...You know it being around thousands of years and all ;)

Of course she was. Producers would have loved for her to talk about Scientology in the house seeing as its shrouded in mystery by so many other celebs.

Obviously she was booked for being a big name but her religion and how she has been an open scientologist defo would have got their interest and appealed to them.

She was booked because her media storm was gaining a lot of weight.

ginkgo 22-08-2018 11:20 AM

her point was bad, most christians havent read bible

All religions are mental, praying and believing in something you cant see or touch

Buddha didn't believe in god and in prayer it is bad mannered to ask for something for them i think. Those that you mentioned are not the good stuff off religions. Some teachings can offer a lot, some can make you become more of a monster

vesavius 22-08-2018 01:55 PM

Kirstie is a class act. She knows that it's retarded to talk about religion or politics in there.

And so what if she wants to keep her religious beliefs private? The people that shove them in everyone's face are the worst.

But said teachings can be brought to people without succumbing to an omnipotent god

It’s her business?

ginkgo 22-08-2018 03:54 PM

religion is one of the most interesting subjects and if its important to you then its really weird not to talk about it

She never made any comment on Christians.

She said if she was someone who knew nothing about Christianity and wanted to learn, she would read the bible to find out.

That's the point, if it's important to YOU.

For a lot of people, their religion is a private matter.

It's like asking if someone's marriage is important to them why don't they discuss it in detail on TV. It's a personal aspect of their life.

I made a similar thread , I thought she was dismissive .
A basic summary of her beliefs would of been OK . But Scientology is too weird to even get our heads around.

Some people think she's covering her back .

I understand people not quite understanding or contemplating religion or faith, but I do laugh when the old "what you can't see or touch" gets trotted out. There are many things we can't see or touch.

Not really the point she was making though.

Her point was basically, "If I want to learn about something I don't know about I like to read a good book on it. I advise you to read a scientology book".

religions should be about bettering things
i wonder how much she has paid to get to the next levels of scientology... id rec to check out Going Clear if you haven't

it's closer like asking if the persons spouse is wise guru about some teachings and stuff behind it

A lot of the time, it is.

But a lot of religious people aren't preachy about it. As it should also be.

She wasn't patronising at all.

If anything, he was a little rude continuing to press her after she made it clear very politely she was not going to have that conversation.

letmein 22-08-2018 05:49 PM

The producers made her sign an agreement that she was not to discuss that. We already had it mentioned in a previous thread. Stacy discussed Scientology. Kirstie goes on rants about Scientology all the time. She’s extremely high up in the church and goes after anyone who has anything negative to say about it. She’s very public with her stances. She’s a complete nut.
