I made some of my first internet friends on these forums and I am grateful for that, even though I did test the mods a lot. :joker:

24-26 is the sweet spot for me... not as moody, but not so far away from the prime of youth that it's become a distant memory... so it's possible to still look back at those years and reap a lot of insight I think... but yeah for me, it seemed like everything speeds up after that point... I blinked and I'm now 33. I had read that because nothing is really "new" anymore, it makes us feel like time is moving faster... which makes complete sense.
For me, an extended forum stay is a bit like having a regular diary... all that time, all those anecdotes... especially if you become very close-knit with people on here, it can be pretty emotional to reread all that I think... one of my forum hangouts that I went to closed after 17 years (I was not there that long), and the members were so distraught to have lost all that record... it's a bit like keeping a depository...
I have a forum I have closed still sitting on my hard-drive because we had a member who passed... I lost my old AIM history though, in particular chats with the husband when were in relationship at a long-distance... *sigh*
