Housemates will nominate as normal with the same format as seen in the last celeb series.
The nominated housemates and whoever is the richest will then face the task. The task will always be undertaken by 6 housemates so the richest will choose however many additional housemates are needed to take it up to 6.

Given that's how they've clearly planned for it to work, a part of me is hoping the housemates ruin the plan and their nominations cause at least six people to be nominated.

It seemed to me that the producers are going to throw everything they have got at this last series, just to make it memorable.

So true - the production team are clueless. If Lewis G makes it to the end how boring - he is one dimensional, he has no layers - just wish they wouldnt meddle with it.

Aren't they all one dimensional ? Now Anamelia has gone I couldn't pick any of them as my favourite. Isaac least favourite (obviously) !!

I mean, to me it sounds like they've actually thought out a coherent and consistent weekly format for the first time in many a series... sure, it's not quite the back to basics we were promised, but I'd absolutely take this over them introducing some new, different desperate twist each week

But it literally means every episode will be dominated by a task and its exhausting.

All we want is back to basics and live feed surely that's less effort than all of these set changes and twists?

Don't mind this actually....

I'm not sure i like the sound of the game changer but we'll see

No one said ‘normal’ nominations... I guess that’s just what you wanted to hear... They said the rules surrounding nominations would be clear... So far I don’t see how this twist isn’t a clear nominations rule...

If this were a one off twist I’d agree that they were clearly trying to manipulate... However it sounds as if this is planned to play out through the series...

They literally promised multiple times it’d return to normal nominations and ‘back to basics’ lol

I don’t really think it’s them hitting the panic button though. It’s not as if this sort of reveal is going to spark an increase in viewing figures.

They did it with CBB and there was constant moaning about head to head evictions.

And in multiple c4 series there were more than two people up for nomination at once so....

What’s your point...? Normal noms produce heads to heads also

Garfie 22-09-2018 08:27 AM

I will wait and see how it plays out before I come to a judgement about the gamechanger.

annabelindabee 22-09-2018 08:55 AM

complicated .

Vanessa 22-09-2018 08:57 AM

It sounds interesting, i think. Can't wait.

I like it! The only issues I have are A) it should have started this week, B) can they just give us the full US format instead and C) the viewer's nom is GREAT given it's VTS, but WHAT is the point since that person will NEVER, ever be evicted with VTE?

To be fair I can see Isaac coming at the bottom of the VTS but still topping a VTE

Not once did they say either of those things... If you want to convince me otherwise I suggest you dig up some quotes...

several occasions in the run-up to Celebrity Big Brother 22, various news reports and Big Brother alumni hinted at the series going back to its roots, with less producer manipulation and a focus on the show as a social experiment.[5]

The shows' producers also met with several fansites to discuss the direction of the show, with it being heavily reported that the show will bring back weekly shopping tasks and a consistent nominations format.

Loving the weekly shopping tasks and consistent nomination format. Very back to roots

For what it's worth the nomination rules worked for CBB... It's just that there was little if any variation amongst HM's in who they nominated which resulted in a head to head contest every time...

Not once does this mention 'normal' nominations or the words 'back to basics'... Also this is hardly a quote from a producer saying either of those things...

Marsh. 22-09-2018 12:31 PM

It's clearly been planned from the start. They said the coins would change the game all series.

Paul Osbourne didn't bullsh*t unlike the producer of BB17.

Asked them what they wanted back and they focussed on the small stuff like closed off stairs etc.

Did they say "back to basics" specifically? Or was this term coming from fan-sites?
