I am a tad repulsed by meat too, I would find the chicken task horrendous if I was there.

So you just don't like animals?

If Kay has a meltdown at something so tame , imagine how she'd be on IAC . She'd probably do a Gillian McKeith and faint :bored: .

I'm vegan too and I found Kay crying over the fake chickens to be a mess... My comment was more about Amy Jade being made out to be a hypocrite because she dragged Kay for the fake chicken thing while also herself being upset by the meat industry. Both situations are hardly the same and it's really stupid that someone would even try and make it out like they're in anyway similar.

If I did then its a PLASTIC chicken. Getting upset thinking of the suffering animals go through isn't irrational though just compassionate.

Amy Jade 02-10-2018 08:59 PM

Oh wait you were coming for me for saying someone crying over a PLASTIC chicken is being messy but understanding her being upset at the way REAL animal is threated in some way makes me a hypocrite?

If you fail to see the massive difference in a bit of plastic and a living breathing creature that feels pain and fear then you are very, very silly.

Then in that context, I hope that it also covers leather, in coats, shoes and furniture, dog food, animal feeds, gravy and all the other derivatives that are used.

Are you asking about my ethics?

Be glad to discuss animal welfare and explain my thoughts if you want but if this is just you trying bait me into admitting I wear leather so you can feel like you can one up me I won't waste my time.

Indeed

Amy Jade 02-10-2018 11:39 PM

The latter. Obviously.

Marsh. 02-10-2018 11:43 PM

So, the compassion for animals can only be thrown in meat eaters' faces because your attitude is different about wearing animals?

Just saying:laugh:

It is all relevant, but I was serious, don't use the word bait, please when my intention was genuine.

Is this directed at me?

Because I actually do not wear leather either I avoid animal byproducts and practise vegetarianism.

Animal products are in make up, shampoos and toiletries too.

Not only in food.
