I'm not really getting that criticism when I myself am still passionate about the show? Well...to a certain extent. What's embarrassing was the ridiculous meltdowns when it was patently obvious VTS was never going to win, and that they were not going to rig the vote (like they should've done) as 80% of people on here presumed they were going to The bottom line of it all is, people are perfectly content for the show to be manipulated when it's to the benefit of their favourites...but not when it's the other way round. I can admit that, so it's time other people started doing the same rather than pretending they're consistent and all about fairness |

Another good post and the voice of reason. I like Lewis..it would be in my interest to have had VTS...but I didn't I voted VTE although I prefer VTS. The reason being is that some of the housemates that have left would maybe still be in the house with VTS and to me it wasn't fair on them. Also had it been changed and Lewis or whoever went on to win it would not only have been unfair but it would be a shallow victory. |
I actually think the reason they’ve decided not to go ahead with it is because of the claims of rigging. Let’s face it, Lewis is clearly the producers ‘pet’ this year and the sudden attempt to switch the vote to VTS was a clear attempt to guarantee his safety. However, I’ve seen on twitter and on here how unpopular it was, as everyone saw through their reasoning behind it. They can’t turn their backs on what little viewers they have left, they knew a huge backlash would happen so... why would they risk it?

I wonder how yall would have spun it if VTS won? Probably a differently crafted passive aggressive line.

If they'd rigged it to make it VTS first of all I would have admitted I was wrong (I wonder how many others are going to do that), and then applauded the production team for making the right decision, and the one I've said they should do ever since this whole thing was announced. No spin, just the consistent line of argument I've always stuck to...not for the last 24 hours, but the last five years  |

Fans calling out a suspect move by production, I don't see what the big issue is, there was absolutely no need to put a poll up if they weren't considering it

If they wanted to rig it they would have. I told you all yesterday that the results of the poll would be respected.

I'm sure those saying they never intended to change the vote would have had no problem with Hitler invading Poland as he was probably only going there for a holiday.

Just wait to you see the riggage for the 2nd eviction on Friday.
|
There is and never has been 'riggage' just ridiculous.

And I’m still annoyed it all happened. People dont want producer manipulation on any level, this time they tried to be sneaky instead of outright pissing us all off without warning (which i suppose could be seen as improvement... its still nowhere near good or professional enough for the last million fans though). People were angry when they thought VTS was gonna win, and people are happy that it didnt. They’re allowed to celebrate a win over ****ty production, just as you would have celebrated if ****ty production won over the common sense. |

Where did I say people weren't allowed to celebrate? My point was that there was nothing to throw a strop over in the first place. It was clear nothing was going to change, that the "win over production" was going to be obvious, and like I would've done had they actually rigged it, maybe people could just go "fair enough, I was wrong and overreacted" - because they were |

This Lewis thing is different to both, and people didn’t like that. Even two out of two Lewis fans on this thread have told you that they didn’t like it! Maybe the difference is between a cloud of doubt and complete transparency, but people typically hate the rigging. Also I think you need to understand that a very large chunk of the viewers really do not want to watch people that they hate. Even if they’re loud and argumentative or dominating the highlights. Most people dislike watching people they dislike - viewers don’t need saving from themselves, they know what they want and do not want to watch. It may be different to the things that’s you enjoy watching. You should have understood that by now! I feel like I’ve told you this every 6 months for the past 4 or 5 years! |
