I really like him too, but the stars are just not aligned at this point for him to win. He does stand a chance I guess with the Lewis/Cameron vote split ... but I think thats just an outside chance

MTVN 20-10-2018 12:43 PM

I really admire his attitude to everything. He was gutted after the game changer but still put the dice around Lewis and congratulated him even after Lewis had done his pathetic middle finger gloat

Chansey 20-10-2018 04:20 PM

I dunno how how you could love Akeem. He doesn’t have enough substance to evoke any kind of support.

I find his attempts at being funny cringey and uncomfortable, and he doesn’t add anything to the house dynamic other than irritating people for trying to take charge.

They are the only two that have been nominated multiple times that are still in the house and so its natural to compare their reactions.. One of them had class, one of them swore, whinged moaned and threw their toys out of the pram.

I would compare Kenaley and Isabelle as well but they are out, but both acted like adults also when nominated for the second time.

Isabella was distraught...and couldn't work it out hence the rule break. Last night she nearly had a nervous breakdown...

I don't think he is fake be he is very desperate

I think he just wants to coast his way to the end, he is a people pleaser and therefore comes across as twofaced. He is playing up to Tomasz and his habits to much for my liking, he has a good chance of winning but I hope he doesnt.

Lewis has a superior complex and doesn't believe anyone should ever nominate him, yet he obviously nominates himself.

It's not unusual to be nominated multiple times it happens year after year to many housemates, I don't think anyone has been such a sore loser in history before.

Akeem truly deserves to win for being the best and nicest person in that house.

Sadly imo there is nothing superior about him at all, he has taken over the house but walked away when he should have been there. He just does not want to upset the others and the public. He can be as negative as the others but hides it at times. Not a good winner imo but he has a chance, nothing nice about sitting on the fence and not being honest.

I'm still not sure who Akeem really is. We need more DR from him...

Neither Lewis or Akeem will walk now, they will fight it out until the end, to late for anyone to leave....Lewis is great and Akeem is....ah well.......May the best man/woman win.....Lewis for me....

joeysteele 20-10-2018 07:19 PM

I really neither like or dislike him.
I don't want him to win however as I see him as not to be trusted.

I don't think it can be easy to know where you stand with him.
I prefer good or bad to know exactly where I stand with people.
Akeem seems to try to be all things to all people, rarely revealing what he's really thinking.

Beastie 20-10-2018 07:21 PM

I think the only game Akeem is playing is to not get too attatched to anyone. Hence someone saying he's a bit robotic. I believe he must be a genuinely nice person though. You always get shown your true colours in Big B.

Lostie! 20-10-2018 07:24 PM

Brilliant guy. He really needs to win.

Im loving your opinions. Akeem isn't a nasty guy..but he is playing sooo safe...holding back where I don't think he normally would.
He has taken on this role of man of the house...he's first to get involved with everything...first to get up and report on any discrepancies..empty cupboards..task set ups...first in the store cudboard when the shopping is delivered etc..He loves being house leader. There isn't anything wrong with that...but you can understand why it rubs the others up the wrong way.
He is more than capable of losing it...you can see him gritting his teeth sometimes.
But he's not a bad guy at all.

Actually I hadn't considered him keeping distance so as not to get too attached to anyone.

That's an interesting point you have made.
It's made me think.

They should have put oldies in the house too. A lot of young immature and naive houmates this series. Suppose we have that every series

I mean he wants to get to know people of course. But I think he is keeping his cards to his chest. At least he speaks his mind more and making more impact than people like Sian.

Jannigran 20-10-2018 09:03 PM

He’s like the annoying teachers pet at school you loved to hate

if i was in there with someone like that it would grate my bones - it's SO condescending - i think it really brought out his true nature when they did the mining task and he was the chairman... made me cringe so much, he was loving it

not a bad guy or nasty but makes my skin crawl
