With a show like This Morning it's much better to have presenters with personality and who don't always play by the rules otherwise you get two cardboard cutout presenters hosting a show that would probably be a little boring without Holly and Phil.

You think turning up for work with a hangover and in the same crinkly party clothes is showing personality??? Okayyy  . Plus nonchalantly telling their viewers like it's a joke? .

How is it not a joke?

They came in from industry awards, not a random personal night out.

Dear me, people are so uptight.

I honestly don't see what your problem is, you seem to find issue in everything :joker:

Who cares if they're a little bit hungover, or didnt change clothes- they still turned up, Presented the entirety of the show as normal and that's all that matters, surely?

Marsh. 16-11-2018 05:59 PM

Plus they got changed. They did a "skit" in their "party clothes" at the start of the show pretending to be sleeping. Not to be taken seriously, it's a lighthearted magazine programme.

That's not the point :joker: , if a soap actor went out drinking with their colleagues and turned up on set with a hangover would that be ok ? .

Hungover Phil and Holly was iconic

It was the awards show, it's not a personal night out drinking. The entire This Morning crew went.

You're comparing apples and oranges.

I'm sure many actors have shown up at work hungover and just got on with their job. Just as people all across the world do all the time.

You're talking like they were incapacitated and couldn't do their jobs. You need to chill.

They got changed and presented the show as normal.

You really think the skit at the start wasn't planned on purpose? Ok. :pat:

They just randomly were allowed to go to work pissed, unwashed and unchanged and the producers just allowed them on air just because? It seems you take everything too seriously.

I'm not taking everything serious , and they've had hangovers more than once :hee: .

I know it was an awards show with the crew there ,and I know the show is relaxed but I still find it a tad unprofessional .

But, again, it was done on purpose as a skit because it's a lighthearted show.

They didn't just show up pissed and the producers allow them on air unfit to work. That doesn't happen.

I didn't say they turned up "pissed" . Anyway I just find the antics a bit silly .

Well that's fine to find it silly but let's not exaggerate it to something it's not.

I love Holly...she's a natural. She's a perfect replacement for Ant. There is something endearing about people that don't try and be something they are not...they relate with the public. There are times when you have to be professional and tactful. This show is a fun show...and Holly fits the bill because she doesn't take herself seriously.

Really good pairing, looking forward to this. People can be so picky!

I don't think the chemistry is really there, but they weren't too bad. I think it would have been worse if they'd tried to match Dec with another bloke.
