...However the picture is sort of grim. Just because the "lip filler and instagram" culture itself is pretty grim. There are so many girls in their 20's at the moment who have to be quite honest simply butchered their own faces with surgery / injections and it IS kind of horrible

I agree. Pity this wasn't the point Piers was making and instead he had to slut shame.

Yeah I was thinking too he's more seemed like Katie Hopkins lately.

I like Piers but I don't agree with everything he says. Here, he's just saying things that have been said better by others and attempting to trend. Same with Ariana, her first tweet is unoriginal and uninspiring. A lot of Hollywood celebrities will say things like this, but it's silly how exactly will she "fight" public opinion? Both of them are beholden to the masses and they're not going to risk their record deals. I would argue the fact they see so little blowback to mean that society has shifted quite a bit in their face (already). So I don't see this as going to go outside their respective circles to challenge norms. Pier seems to have taken the position in his article(s) he is arguing against current norms, and that's how I would see it.

On the other hand if the "fight" is to get every breathing individual in society to adopt their views on life. Good luck with that. Society is dividing itself into respective niches and soon there won't be a "general public" to sway one direction or another. I don't think that is where the future is heading, imo. The curve for the past decade or so is for individualism to run further and further amok...

When has anyone said otherwise?
