She has done zero to inspire anyone at the moment. Please explain what specifically you mean as its coming across as simple plaudits and buzzwords

The young autistic boy who’s written the letter for her for one.

bots 22-11-2018 11:56 AM

Forgive me for saying it, but if she was going to do the autism cause some good she would have tackled things to the best of her abilities. If that didn't turn out well, fair enough she would have given it a go. Sitting there saying she can't do anything is implying those with autism are totally incapable of making a contribution ... setting back people perceptions by decades.

Well, this kid for a start

And she's done it by showing him that people like him can go on to succeed and make a big name for themselves.

Of course, don't let that stop you and others taking the piss.

Crimson Dynamo 22-11-2018 12:05 PM

one child

There are thousands of kids who get inspired by Joey Essex or Bilbo Baggins

he sho0uld not even be watching an adult show with sexual talk/innuendo and swearing that is on after his bed time and the watershed

Yes, one child and a simple glance across Twitter will show you that many others are feeling similarly inspired by her.

A qualified doctor explaining about how Anne will be dealing with the jungle and about autism in general

Incidentally, this took me about three minutes to come across. Quite easy to research a subject.

Crimson Dynamo 22-11-2018 12:11 PM

not Doctor Gorgeous from Steve Wright in the Afternoon

Crimson Dynamo 22-11-2018 12:12 PM

and she isnt a quiz master Hillary, she answers prepared questions

You're reaching ever so slightly now.

She never said that at all.

If you actually listened, instead of judged you'd know that.

No, she didn't. You'd realise that if you weren't so eager to dislike her.

yes quite easy to research as you say so pretty pointless getting paid a huge sum to go on a TV show when it can be done for free in a couple of minutes via the internet by anyone who cares to look

so she will provide no benefit to autism but will be paid more than a average NHS nurse will get in say 5 years for a week in the sun in oz?

Perhaps it would have been braver if she had donated ALL her fee to Autism UK?

Yes, autism is a disability. Which part of that are you struggling with?

Mitchell 22-11-2018 12:22 PM

It’s quite clear that Anne was in a state of distress during her trial, she did try and was obviously on the verge of a meltdown about it.

And how do you know he isn't watching the morning repeat where it's edited for younger audiences?

what do you expect him to say?

all he can say is "oh yes she is brave"

If he thinks "oh bloody hell, not another one blaming a condition for their own non-related failings" he would lose his highly paid job

its TV land

not real life

Did you know such a thing exists called 'recording' where, get this, you can record a programme and watch it whenever you like! There's also a new invention called catch up, where each channel uploads their programs to watch whenever you like!

So now you're assessing that Anne's autism has nothing to do with anything that she does in the jungle?

Where did you get your PhD?

Also, Rob responded to your comment about her not being a quiz master.

This is the crux of it.

"I can't have empathy for someone earning a bigger pay packet than me, it's just not in my nature. If she gives away all of that money I might just like her better!"

Beso 22-11-2018 12:39 PM

She is getting special treatment though, the pillow for instance..I'm sure she ain't the only one struggling to sleep....

And I repeat, her aspergers isn't effecting her time in the jungle...her obesity is.

That's not special treatment. That's Nick Knowles luxury item, which he gave to Anne.

Is James' moisturiser special treatment? or Fleur's hair cream?

Because she was exhausted by the journey to the task...watch again, she had given up in her head before even starting....simply because of her unfitness and weight issues...

Nick said that he was always going to give the pillow to the person who needed it most. I'm sure if, say, Fleur hadn't slept a wink since entering she would've had it.
