bbc has always done broadcasting abroad so doubt they'll stop. But I'd not want to make any promises with this whole ****show of brexit

No it will not stop
but it will be Pay Online for it

Calderyon 22-11-2018 12:31 PM

In here BBC has almost always been inside a paywall ie: cable/terrestrial.

And i think it's not even the actual channels, just the compilation one, BBC Brit and the nature themed BBC Earth.

yes same, here BBC is also part of our tv package, cable or via external provider

we also have German, French, spanish, italian, arabic, turkish tv channels in our package alongside the BBC channels what we pay for

Calderyon 22-11-2018 12:38 PM

We don't actually get the actual BBC channels, just the compilation one.

And you would have to have other channels as well, not just that.

Calderyon 22-11-2018 12:39 PM

It's better to watch online anyway as you can do it anywhere as long as you have a smartphone or a tablet. +Paying for the standard packet (BBC1, 2 ITV, C4, C5, E4 the plus one channels and some others.

Nicky91 22-11-2018 12:59 PM

got my answer now, from a fellow dutch on discord

brexit only affects the british people and the EU, and it's not our cable companies are subsidized by the EU funds

user104658 22-11-2018 01:31 PM

If the BBC channels are part of a paid for package then I doubt anything will change, as it seems likelt that the BBC are "selling" the channels abroad for extra income so it would have little to do with Brexit.

Maru 22-11-2018 02:38 PM

BBC World is on the 1st/2nd tier cable packages here iirc. I don't know that that's the same as what is broadcast there on local.

Not quite if what Arista is saying is right.

Hmmm. It seems then that it might be a BBC World type situation (which is basically a commercial channel that shows BBC-made shows)

we will pay more for BBC, i guess it could go automatically with our tv provider's monthly bill going up a little bit from March 2019

Crimson Dynamo 23-11-2018 07:22 AM

i dont want anyone except first born British locals watching our BBC what we pay for

If they are selling it to any tin-pot country then I want a share of the profits

I hope for your own sake you won't get BBC Entertainment instead.
We have it here and it's just awful. Unless you're into 78945634 reruns of Doctors and EE :skull:
